Batman Begins (2005)

Backstory Batman
27 February 2024
I was disappointed in this. Too much backstory in Asia with Liam Nesson. An hour into the film, and I still hadn't seen Christian Bale in the batsuit .

Then there's that Batmobile. Didn't like it.

The baddies especially Tom Wilkinson character- baddie clichés. Dirty and sweaty types.

Main problem, not enough Batman this one.

The action is incredibly loud- hard to find a level for the volume at home. Good level for the dialogue is deafening for action.a reasonable level for the action and I can't hear dialogue so was turning the volume up and down constantly.

I didn't enjoy Alfred either. Bit of a smart Alec.

Bloody hell . It's violent
13 November 2023
The rich Romans has upper-class English accents . For some reason, everyone speaks pidgin English.

For example the main character has been beaten up, says" excuse Countenance " Speaking silly, English doesn't make any of them, more authentically, ancient .

The violence seems to get more exaggerated has the series goes on . Maybe it was my imagination, but some of the scenes with blood squirting out of dummies are rather comical and grotesque.

Still, it would be hard to show gladiators, fighting authentically. Since they really did fight to the death in there. It's all just so in your face and over the top becoming rather ridiculous I found.

Shocking! But beautiful
11 November 2022
When Mina Holmwood has been bitten by Dracula how come she doesn't also change into a vampire and have the vampire teeth like the other victims Bally Mina !

But wait a minute Ballymena that's in Northern Ireland. Maybe that's why. Or maybe Van Helsing and her husband got to her on time. Dracula then tries to cover her on Earth in the grave . Seriously it's a great matter ( now is my review long enough to submit ?)

It's a great film and I've watched it so many times- The pacing is wonderful the colour is beautiful and the action is continuous.

It's my favourite Dracula and perhaps the best of the eight Christopher Lee made for Hammer films.

Great looking visuals -terrible editing
7 November 2022
The editing is frustrating in this film There are 12 complete songs on the LET IT BE album. I don't remember seeing any complete songs played in the film. The rooftop concert is spoiled by constantly cutting to visuals of passersby in the street and interviews and shots of the police approaching. But surely the main thing the fans want to see is the Beatles playing their songs. Very interesting but distracting i find . That material could have been kept for an extras disc Sometimes on the screen it says we are seeing the recording of the take used on let it be. But during the song it cuts the way to another song or to yet more chatter. Why is it that we don't get to see complete songs. Surely if the Beatles were playing songs good enough for their album the film kept rolling while they played the complete song. In short I really don't like the way this film was edited. The director seems determined not to let us see complete recordings being made . Makes me think they want to put out another version which we will all want to buy - or not if like me you've had enough.

Nightmare movie trip
2 May 2022
This isn't what I call comedy . Too obvious and the obnoxious behaviour just grates . With an unfunny script and gags that a group of teenagers might have come up with - Id say avoid it . I was hoping for something like the inventive and funny Airplane! This is nothing like it.
