The Mist (2007)

7.5!? Really???

I don't usually make comments on movies, but this was probably one of the WORST movies I have seen in a long time. The concept is a good idea, but the final result is atrocious. I mean seriously, a mist??? Its almost as bad as the movie "The Fog"

Also, who cast these people to play the parts? The only good actor was Nathan Gamble who played the little boy and the only reason I give him kudos is because he did such a good job acting like he was really terrified. Marcia Gay Harden is normally a very good actress and someone I actually like in movies, but she had an awful performance in this movie. Her acting was horrible and almost seemed fake at times.

Don't even get me started on the lack-of-effort graphics. That just made the movie even worse.

The only reason I decided to rent this movie was one of my friends said it was "SOOO GOOOOOOD" and the the I-can't-even-believe 7.5 rating.

If people seriously think that this was that good of a movie that it deserves a 7.5 rating then those people don't know good movies. I know good movies and this is not one of them. Don't even waste your time renting it.

The Amityville Horror (2005)

Best scary movie I have seen in a while

This movie was one of the scariest movies I have seen in a long time. I think it is definitely better than the original. I have never jumped so much in a movie before. There is a lot more information in this movie than there was in the original. Ryan Reynolds and Melissa George did a great job, especially Ryan, I have never seen anyone who can look so mean. If anyone remembers Jodie from the first movie, she was a pig, she isn't a pig in this one, she is just a little girl, but a creepy little girl. I will definitely buy this movie when it comes out on DVD, I liked it that much. If you are looking for a good scary movie, I would recommend this movie. This movie does not have a lot of gore, and does not go to over the top with things that could never happen, it is done just right.

Sin City (2005)

When I saw the trailer for this movie I thought it looked kind of interesting, but when I saw the movie, I was so confused through out the whole thing that I almost left the movie theater. I am not a comic book reader, I have never even heard of the comic Sin City. I was not impressed with this movie, I was bored, it was long, very gory, and to many characters to remember and remember there stories. The acting was OK but not great Bruce Willis, Jessica Alba, and Rosario Dawson did a pretty good job, but it wasn't that great. If you know the Sin City story and are a fan I think you would like it, but I didn't. I do have to say though this movie probably was the most like a comic book I have seen.

Elektra (2005)

Cool Movie!

Even though Elektra didn't very well I still really liked it, don't listen to the other people, that is there opinion and you can have yours. The action scenes were really cool, kind of hard to follow, but still really cool. I bought this movie and I could watch it over and over again. Please remember that it is just a movie and is based on someones vision of the Elektra comic book. Also note that this movie really doesn't revolve or any way relate to the Daredevil movie. If anyone watches this movie, At the end, the fight that takes place at the well of wishes, look at Elektras Sai's (Daggers), the right one mystically transforms into her family's Ancestral sai, it looks totally different from the regular pair that she usually uses. I hope you guys like it.
