Fantastic addition to the Hatchetfield Universe
27 October 2023
StarKid started strong in 2009 with A Very Potter Musical and has remained consistently great for 15 years while getting even more polished.

This show stands on its own and is constantly enjoyable, but the more of StarKid's prior Hatchetfield content you've watched, the better this show is. There are running gags, recurring characters, in-jokes, and an entire lore surrounding all the weird stuff that happens in Hatchetfield.

And all their stuff is freely available on their YT channel.

If you are considering checking out this movie, you might want to consider watching The Guy Who Didn't Like Musicals first.

Most accurate representation of BPD ever depicted
19 May 2023
Oooof.

This one hurt. Kinda triggering, honestly.

My late spouse struggled with mental health. Plenty of differing diagnosis over the years. Eventually diagnosed with BPD. Just like Rebecca.

When that switch goes off in Rebecca's head and she has that "splitting" episode (Google 'BPD splitting') and just *hurts everyone that cares about her as savagely as possible*, that's very real. It can actually happen with far less of a trigger than in intervention.

And something I've never seen depicted in TV/Film so brutally true to reality.

This entire series has been a difficult, but important, watch for me.

"I'm a good person" and "You stupid B" and "I'm the villain in my own story" in particular were such amazingly accurate representations of the way my spouse would view themself at different times. In fact they practically said those things verbatim on different occasions, but never watched the show.

This show isn't just good, It's IMPORTANT that it exists.

Thank you for coming to my TED Talk.
