On behalf of her company, Hanna, who lives separately from her husband Stefan, travels to New Zealand with her two younger daughters Mara and Antonia. There she is supposed to handle the takeover of an organic cheese dairy. At the same time, Hanna wants to use the trip to pick up her eldest daughter Judith, who has completed a year-long internship on a sheep farm. However, the completely surprised Hanna learns very quickly that Judith has no intention of returning to Germany despite her university place and good career prospects. She fell in love with Jan, the son of the sheep farmer Wolf Holländer. The young Parr wants to get married soon and build a future together in New Zealand. Father Stefan has already agreed to come to the wedding. After the initial shock over this news has been digested, Hanna gradually begins to get used to the idea that her daughter wants to realize her dream of happiness in the middle of the New Zealand province. During the wedding preparations, Hanna gets to know the withdrawn wolf better - and a timid love gradually develops between the metropolitan career woman and the nature-loving farmer. But Hanna has to return to Berlin after the wedding celebration. She is all the happier when she is commissioned to travel to New Zealand again. Then she got the news that Judith had died in a car accident - a stroke of fate that destroys Hanna's dreams of a new happiness with Wolf at the "other end of the world". Part 2: After Judith died in a tragic car accident Hanna travels back to New Zealand with her two younger daughters Mara and Antonia and her husband Stefan to say goodbye to her daughter. Mara finds consolation and support from the young Maori Steve. Hanna, however, makes Judith's husband Jan in her grief responsible for the death of their daughter - although he is not to blame for the accident and threatens to break down from the loss of his beloved wife. But then Hanna seems to find a way to come to terms with her daughter's death - by making her dream of a flourishing organic cheese dairy in New Zealand a reality. While her daughters are returning to Germany, Hanna is working out a very promising business concept together with the cheese dairy operator Eileen. Despite this success, the tragic blow of fate seems to have driven a wedge between Hanna and Wolf. The lightheartedness of their young love threatens to give way to a mixture of unspoken reproaches and distrust. Eventually Hanna realizes that she should return to Germany to help her two daughters, who have not yet got over the death of their sister. When she arrived in Berlin, she had to realize that she was no longer really at home here either: her employer had given her notice; Stefan is busy with Jennifer, his new wife, and their newborn baby; Mara decides to go to Steve in New Zealand; and the grieving Antonia turns away from her mother, disappointed, because she feels abandoned by her. But then one day Wolf stands at Hanna's door.

But now the talented lawyer is about to make her professional breakthrough: she is to represent the main client of her law firm. The respected Hamburg fish manufacturer and wealthy fishing fleet owner Johann Petersen is repeatedly accused in the press of the eco-activist Dr. Jens Groote attacks. The environmentalist who lives on a North Sea island accuses Petersen of fishing in nature reserves. Corinna knows that this case requires a lot of finesse. In order to avoid a media-effective process, the lawyer wants to force the conservationist to reach an out-of-court settlement under threat of a high fine. A visit to Groote's North Sea island is very helpful for Corinna, because the sea air is the best medicine for her daughter Melanie, who suffers from a chronic cough. Corinna is surprised to find that Melanie has been pen pals with Groote's son Patrick for some time. However, Groote himself is not only unfriendly, but also proves to be a difficult negotiating partner. On a boat trip together, Groote demonstrates to the unsuspecting lawyer what damage Petersen's fishing fleets are causing. And to make matters worse, Corinna has to admit that she actually doesn't find the rough-and-ready guy all that unsympathetic. The fact that Corinna's fiancé Bruno is coming for a flying visit doesn't make the situation any easier.

Now the time has finally come: Anne and Norbert want to set off from Denmark to the Norwegian coast in a motorhome. But the vacation doesn't have a good star right from the start. First Anne has to travel to Denmark in a bus full of noisy package tourists because her husband was too thrifty to rent a motorhome in Germany; and when he arrives in Denmark, Norbert tells her that he wants to complete the 2,000 kilometers to the North Cape as quickly as possible with the luxury motorhome he has reserved - because he actually doesn't feel like going on the whole trip anyway. But Anne, who was looking forward to a discovery-filled trip along picturesque country roads and along lonely fjords, doesn't want to accept that. A heated argument ensues, which ends with Norbert starting the journey home - convinced that Anne will follow him on the next ship to Germany. But he's completely wrong, because for the first time in their almost 40-year marriage, Anne doesn't just give in. She decides to continue the journey alone. By chance she meets the single doctor Katja. The two women hit it off right away, and so Anne postpones her onward journey in order to spend a few relaxing days with her new friend. However, there is another reason for her to stay: in the headstrong marine biologist Konrad, Anne has found an admirer who, with his brash, nature-loving and free-spirited nature, is so refreshingly different from the narrow-minded Norbert. In any case, Anne realizes more and more clearly that her marriage is in a dead end from which there seems to be no turning back. At the same time, back home in Germany, Norbert is torn between his longing for Anne and frustration over their relationship, which has long since stalled. Together with his adult daughter Sonja, he finally goes back to Denmark to surprise Anne for her birthday. But it quickly becomes clear that Anne is not prepared to simply give up her newfound freedom and return to her old life as a meek, self-sacrificing wife. She is determined to travel to the North Cape with Konrad, who is suffering from incurable cancer, and thereby fulfill her lifelong dream.

- DirectorAndrea KatzenbergerStarsChiara SchorasStephan LucaAugust ZirnerThe young, talented and idiosyncratic concert pianist Lotta Basalle is about to make a big comeback: the celebrated musician withdrew from the public for three years after almost dying in a serious car accident. Music fans and critics are now all the more excited about their first concert. But despite constant rehearsals under the conductor - her partner - Björn Larsson, Lotta feels that the magic that used to rouse people to storms of enthusiasm simply no longer applies to her piano playing - where the music used to seem to flow from her fingers , since the accident her playing seems strained and cramped. In order to finally find her way back to her old spirit and playful inspiration, Lotta decides to retire to a small, intimate luxury hotel in the idyllic Rheingau for the days before the concert. Her domineering mother is anything but enthusiastic about this idea, since it is exactly the place where Lotta had the accident three years ago after the painful separation from her boyfriend at the time. As soon as she arrived at the Hotel Rheinblick, Lotta asked for absolute silence for the duration of her stay - her only attention is on the concert grand piano in her suite, which she only leaves to go jogging in the morning. Even the thought of relaxation and sensual pleasure seems a useless distraction in Lotta's eyes. Sebastian Brandt, the hotel's charmingly stubborn chef de cuisine, sees things very differently: For him, inspiration and artistic power come from a conscious devotion to good wine and excellent food. And no matter how harshly Lotta initially rejects his delicious creations, Sebastian is undeterred and serves her a lovingly prepared menu every day. And in fact he gradually succeeds in breaking through the rough shell of the dogged artist. Lotta begins to recognize a kindred spirit as an artist in Sebastian, who is also struggling with a broken heart. A tender love develops between the two. But then Lotta's strict mother and a little later worried Björn show up at the hotel.
