Man vs Bee (2022)
An insult to common sense
The only discernible scene was the sentencing.
The story gets more and more ridiculous along the course of the movie.
Despite the ending being a plot twist, no decent mind would find the plot acceptable.
I am sorry to say that I expected this movie to live up to Mr. Rowan Atkinson's standard, but this time, he failed to deliver.
No one in their right mind would go after a bee that desperately, more over getting fooled over and over again by it. I just can't bear to watch beyond 4th episode and decided to write this review while my wife steadfastly trying to finish all nine of them. She's stronger than me.
Either this movie is not for me, or perhaps I've lost my sense of humor.
I would not recommend this movie to anyone.
Sorry, Mr. Atkinson, you could've done better.
Danur 2: Maddah (2018)
Jump scare and poor lighting
Low light for the sake of creating the unknown makes the movie generally black screen. Batman does this trick to create dark nuance yet only accomplish dark picture. Poor cinematography and storyline in the name of art leaves only the watcher bewildered to what is going on. The ghost doesn't look like a ghost, more like sexy eccentric person.
Awful.
Considering that the movie was told to be based on a true story, the director should have a solid storyline, but instead the director seem lacking in a complete background story leaving the movie swivelling out of control. The poor acting from the ghost makes this worst.
Poor screenplay and directing.
Kuntilanak (2006)
Awful
Watched this movie at 2021. Characters were not fully developed, acting was mediocre at best, storyline was not thoroughly thought, editing was not commendable, the set was improper. Several plot holes and lack of continuity throughout made this movie unbearable to watch. I do not think this is the work of a professional movie maker. I rarely write a comment, but this movie deserve it.
Lemon Tree Passage (2014)
Logic sucks
If I may say, this movie is nothing but scary and shocking images.
The time-line goes all over the place, screenplay makes no sense, scenario was appalling.
Basically no story that makes sense.
This movie is an insult to common sense.
That't about it.
To rectify this basic flaws would seems impossible to be done. Maybe with a believable story-line, retaking of some of the scenes, an just about OK movie can still come out of this mess.
But then again, what do I know. I never made a movie before.
The fact is, I can't enjoy this movie. Maybe you can...
The 100 (2014)
Second season mid-season finale is a stretch
I'm just going to wait and see the next episode of the second season to review my IMDb score for this series. This is due to the conflict on the mid-season finale (for the second season) makes no sense at all.
Here comes the spoiler...
The fact that the decision to give up Finn has to take a whole episode to come to feels like "stretching it".
And Finn has to be captured?
While trying to hide? (Like Hitler in a bunker)
And finally murdered by Clarke? (without a trial)
Oh, please...
I had high hope for this series by the beginning of second season. It is but obliterated by the mid-season finale (for the second season). So if this show doesn't get better, I'm scoring a bad review (the 1 star should suffice) on IMDb.
