Downton Abbey: A New Era (2022)
Forever favorite!
After watching the series THREE times over the past few years, then "The Movie" we all anticipated, I thoroughly enjoyed the talented cast in "New Era." I've always had a soft spot for Barrow, and loved watching his character evolve over the years. Thrilled that he has a happy ending. I was also ecstatic for the Molesley/Baxter twist!
But how is it that I've watched this cast so closely over the years, and only in the final moments of the last movie do I realize that the Granthams are both blue-eyed, but Mary and Edith have brown eyes??? LOL! Genetically, that would be impossible. Nevertheless, they are my favourite English daughters!
Better Nate Than Ever (2022)
Fun, great music, happy cast
Even my husband (who won't let me play enough Wicked) loved this. Thoroughly entertaining. I appreciated the delicate story in which two young adults are trying to figure out who they are, how they fit in the world. It's the story of so many children: feeling down, excluded, and "different". Nate never gives up!
Long Story Short (2021)
Why all the mean reviews?
I find the movie thoughtful, a bit teary, and sometimes my heart was racing. In a world where couples spend too much time on their devices instead of LIVING and LOVING, this makes you think. My husband loved it, too.
