The Garfield Show (2008)
It's not terrible, but it's not great either
When I was young I remember watching reruns of Garfield and Friends, I also remember watching The Garfield Show while it was still airing. At first I thought it was okay but as time went by when I compared that to the old Garfield I realized I really didn't like the reboot so much reboot here are a few problems I have to say about the CGI Garfield.
1. The stories for each episodes are too bland (some use the same plot from the original Garfield in a different way).
2. Garfield doesn't break the fourth wall very much as he used to.
3. Nermal's voice sounds so awful.
4. Some of the characters from the original have either been omitted or replaced. (For example, the U.S Acres characters have been completely removed, and Floyd from the old Garfield was replaced by Squeak from the comics).
My thoughts of the CGI looks of the characters are good, their personalities are still the same, I'm glad that all of the crew that worked on the old Garfield came back to do this, and some of actors like Greg Burson reprised his role as Odie and Frank Welker wasn't so bad at voicing Garfield. But on top of it I'm not so interested in seeing The Garfield Show it really wasn't that great as Garfield & Friends (which is way better than the reboot). It lost its charm and it made me felt like they didn't put enough in it to make it feel like it was worth watching. My final opinion is I give this show a meh... It could've been more better and funnier as classic Garfield. For those who like Garfield and Friends I recommend you to avoid watching the new Garfield it's a total blowout.
