Too much time spent showing the host, judges, and audience. The acts are bad - that is the point - not watching the staff trying to be funny

Many times I had a hard time hearing the lead over the background during the songs - sound mixing (at least on the blu-ray copy I saw) detracted from what otherwise appeared to be wonderful performances by most performers. I thought Nick Jonas was out of his league - did not have the voice to keep up with the rest of the cast. Given the fame and popularly of the show, I have no idea why they thought having him would add anything.

London Has Fallen (2016)

Once I started watching I had to finish - more morbid curiosity than anything else. I didn't hate it so much that I had to turn it off, which is why it rated as high as a 2.

So many things about this movie didn't make any sense, like what are Colin Salmon and Morgan Freeman doing here? They're much better actors than this movie deserves.

Lots of fighting, shooting, explosions, stabbings... but the story line behind it really doesn't make much sense. The elaborate scheme developed by the villain was well out of proportion for reason - "my sister was killed in an attempt to take me out, so I will infiltrate a government and assassinate the prime minister so I can kill my real target from another government when he comes to the funeral." Seems a bit Wiley Coyote like in its overly complicated, high chance of failure, too much firepower plans to get the Road Runner.

A friend wanted to see this because she had lived in the Ann Arbor area for a while. From what I hear it wasn't very good - apparently she and my girlfriend were making snide comments about...well most of the aspects (bad acting, confusing plot line, continuity errors, poor quality rehash of aspects from old Star Wars movies, etc.). I fell asleep - multiple times apparently since they woke me me up once to tell my I was snoring, but there are large portions where I have no idea what was going on (though I'm told I didn't miss anything). For the brief periods I was awake I did notice the focus on the car - based on that it looks like GM is bringing back the Firebird, but I didn't hang around for all the credits to confirm they were a major financial backer.
