Christmas with Tucker (2013)
Shouldn't be a sequel
The lack of consideration for the first movie and details of flashbacks does not connect at all. The timeline is all over the place and does not fall in line. Other details from the first movie on George's past are also lost in dust. This movie might as well have been a stand alone and not promoted as a sequel/prequel. George is shown to have Tucker as a puppy and basically grew up with him in the first movie. It's also stated that both of his parents passed early which resulted in his grandparents raising him. Both of which are not kept up in this movie among many other details such as the obvious timeline. The first movie obviously shows Greg older and it seems he grew up in the 40s/50s since he served in the Vietnam war, but in this movie it's set in present day which is so annoying as a viewer of the first movie.
The Shrink Next Door (2021)
Very slow burn
This seemed like it was going to be a great show and I was excited to start this based off of the actors and good rating but this went on for far too long. It was dragged out and should have just been a movie. The annoyance and aggravation Rudd's character caused along with Farrell's characters naïveness is just far too much to bear for eight whole episodes. I have noticed this seems to be a common occurrence for a lot of Apple TV stuff which is unfortunate. Whomever is calling the shots over there needs to do better and put out better content. There are good some parts and the basic story is good though, it just could've been reined in and shortened to get to the point. The actors were great as well.
Life of the Party (2018)
Overall rating is deceiving
Gave this a shot since the rating was decent. It was depressing, not funny. Acting wasn't great and the storyline sucked. The general idea about the party was good but the execution could've been way better in the right hands with a better storyline surrounding it.
The Hustle (2019)
Pretty good
I thought this movie was pretty funny. I love Rebel Wilson, I think she's hilarious. The main thing that killed it for me though was Anne Hathaway's British accent. It was annoying and so cringey. I know the trivia explains why it's that way but they made a wrong decision with that one.
