Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2014)
A bad comedy / action movie that isn't very entertaining
THE PLOT: When a kingpin threatens New York City, a news reporter find a quad of mutants which makes an alliance to unravel Shredder's plan as the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
This movie was okay. It was a bad movie, but an okay ninja turtle movie. Now, the original movies aren't that great to begin with (besides the 1990 movie), but this new movie somehow is the most boring ninja turtle film that I've ever seen. The old films were at least entertaining, but this was just boring.
The CGI on the turtles were great, they looked amazing. The CGI on splinter was pretty bad but I've seen worse. The shredder costume looks like a transformer but still looks cool.
Megan Fox as April O'Neil wasn't the best choice but i thought she did a decent job, but pretty forgettable.
William Fichtner as Eric Sacks was funny as hell, he was just plain stupid but very enjoyable.
Will Arnett was awful as Vern Fenwick, he was really unfunny and was kinda creepy.
The turtles were the best part of the movie. The actors did an awesome job! Just wish they were in the movie more.
The designs of the turtles are pretty cool too.
Splinter was a good character with a bad design and terrible CGI.
There wasn't enough action in the movie, which really weakens it. But when there was action, it was awesome!
The music was forgettable.
OVERALL: 5/10
The movie was kinda forgettable.
It had cool action (not enough though).
Awful writing
And
okay characters, but great turtles.
Godzilla (2014)
Action-packed, fun and emotional
The plot: The world's most famous monster is pitted against malevolent creatures who, bolstered by humanity's scientific arrogance, threaten our very existence.
This is the Godzilla movie that fans deserved. This is the TRUE American Godzilla! The tone of the movie is realistic and dark, like in the original 1954 movie. The characters are great. Joe Brody (Bryan Cranston) is a great character, he's hard-working and smart, it's a huge shame that he's only in the movie for about 30 minutes cause he dies. Ford Brody (Aaron Taylor Johnson) is also a great character but doesn't have much emotion as Joe Brody cause he's a soldier. Elle Brody (Elizabeth Olsen) is a good character, but she isn't in the movie much. Dr. Serizawa is one of the best characters in the whole movie, he's smart and serious, once again, he should've been in the movie longer!
Godzilla is great, he breaths blue atomic breath and his roar is loud and terrifying. The design is awesome, he looks like Godzilla and also acts like Godzilla! He isn't in the movie for long though.
The MUTO creatures are original and amazing! The flying MUTO is scary and deadly. The normal MUTO is strong and horrifying. The designs are very original and pretty scary.
The CGI is awesome! The animation on the creatures are very realistic and believable.
The music is great, it's loud and intense, just like the movie.
The acting is great but Aaron Taylor Johnson can be emotionless but can be excused cause he's a soldier.
The monster battles are incredible and intense! The best part is where Godzilla grabs the MUTOs jaw (King Kong style) he breaths his atomic breath down the MUTOs throat, melting it's body and neck, then Godzilla holds the severed head of the creature in his victory!
Overall: awesome music, great acting and incredible monster battles and FX. It's a must see for any Godzilla fan!
10/10
The Lego Movie (2014)
Everything was awesome!
The plot: An ordinary Lego construction worker, thought to be the prophesied 'Special', is recruited to join a quest to stop an evil tyrant from gluing the Lego universe into eternal stasis.
The movie's animation style is pretty simple and looks like stop-motion.
The characters are very likable even if they are villains. Emmet is a likable and simple. Batman is funny and kinda ridiculous. Wildstyle is tough and takes everything seriously. Unikitty is really funny. Lord business is funny and he tries to be really evil but fails and bad cop takes everything seriously but still is pretty funny.
The music is very fast and fun.
The voice acting is fantastic. Chris Pratt is great as Emmet. Liam Neeson is perfect as Bad Cop. Will Ferrel is hilarious as Lord Business and Will Arnett is awesome as batman.
The action is great, especially for a movie about blocks.
There is a huge plot twist in the movie! The twist is that the Lego world is a model city in someone's basement in the real world. We see a kid playing with the city. And his dad is played by Will Ferrell.
Overall: the movie is awesome. It is funny and somewhat heartwarming.
7.5/10
Ôkami to kôshinryô (2008)
Incredible
The plot: Kraft Lawrence, a 25 year old peddler travelling from town to town selling and buying various things to make a living during a period much like Europe in the Middle Ages. One night when stopped at the town of Pasroe, he finds in his wagon a 250 year old pagan wolf deity girl named Holo. She appears to be that of a 15 year old girl, except for a wolf tail and ears. She introduces herself as the town's goddess of harvest who has kept it blessed with good harvests of wheat for many years. Despite having the responsibility to watch over the town, she wants to go back to her homeland in the north called Yoitsu, she believes the people have already forsaken her anyway and that she has kept her promise to maintain the good harvests. She manages to bargain her way out of the village by making a deal with Lawrence to take her with him. As they travel, her wisdom helps increase his profits, but at the same time, her true nature draws unwanted attention from the church.
This show is so good. Holo is a great character. Kraft Lawrence is also a great character too. But the rest of the characters are assholes.
The chemistry between Holo and Lawrence is amazing and believable.
The romance is subtle and realistic.
The music is amazing, it can be calm then fast.
The animation is beautiful, the backgrounds look very good and the characters look really good and expressive.
The voice acting is good in both Japanese and English.
I wish there were more episodes and seasons :(
Overall, this is an amazing amine with great characters, beautiful animation and incredible music

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (2012)
Loving every second!
Ninja turtles is one of my favourite franchises of all time and when I heard they were remaking the original cartoon and it will be on nickelodeon, I was sceptical, when the first episode was finally on nickelodeon, I thought I should give it a watch, I was hooked, this show not only better then the original, it's better then most cartoons that are on TV these days. I really was shell shocked to find out that Rob Paulsen, the original Raph, is returning to voice my favourite turtle, Donatello. Jason Biggs is very good as Leonardo, I'm a huge American Pie fan and Jason Biggs is a pretty decent actor. Greg Cipes as Michelangelo is a perfect choice, his voice and personality fits Mikey very well. Sean Astin is my second favourite Raphael because this new Raphael has more of a personality then the other incarnations of Raphael, this Raphael as more of a soft side then the other Raphaels, this new Raph does still act like a hothead but he has a lot more character then the other Raphs. The rest of the cast is fantastic and I'm excited to see new cast members take on classic tmnt characters. Episode 1 is were they re-introduce the turtle characters, and they did a great job, Leo is still the leader, Raph is still a hothead, Mikey is still fun and Donatello is still the nerd. Splinter is interesting, he's more emotionally scared then the other incarnations, but he is more badass, he fights and helps his sons in battle, which is shown in the season 1 finale. April is now a teenager which I like because she can relate more to the turtles. Donnie has a crush on April that is funny but gets old pretty fast. The first episode is were the turtles turn 15 and they want to go to the surface for the first time, splinter allows it but he wants them to stay in the shadows. The turtles discover pizza and the kraang. They meet April and her father then they get attacked by the kraang. The battles are fun and epic to watch, then the turtles chase a van and find out that the can is carrying ooze, that mutated them into mutant turtles. They meet snake, who works for the kraang, snake tells the turtles were the kraang r hiding April and her father. The turtles go to the kraang hide out and save April while snake gets mutated into a weed monster named Snakeweed, a huge battle happens, the turtles say goodbye to April and go back to the sewers, what a way to start a great show. The other episodes in season 1 are all about finding out the kraang and shredders secret and they have to stop them. Season finale is amazing and epic, the fighting is awesome, the music is amazing, the animation is great, the shredder is more badass then the 80s shredder, the characters are just incredible. season 2 is about the turtles finding canisters of mutagen that is scattered around the city, they meet Casey jones, who is also a teen, and a bunch of new mutants. Season 2 is so far amazing and I can't wait for more episodes to come, if your a huge tmnt fan, check it out.
