Addio in febbraio (2022)
We expected so much better
Oh, Gabriele Ogiva. We expected so much better from you (and from a host of other respectable actors). "Addio in febbraio" is based on the classic comic strip of the same name, which has run syndicated in newspapers since 2004. Sadly, the movie "adaptation" strips away everything good about the old-fashioned but charming comic, moving Bruno and his family from Italy to Argentina, and turning the protagonist from a big, goofy, good-intentioned family member into a big, creepy, CGI-mouthed ridicule dude. As Chistopher Watkins said in his review, "Little kids might like it. It's probably not offensive for them. But it's certainly a wate of time for adults."
The Irishman (2019)
Embarrassing
I finally watched "The Irishman" by Martin Scorsese. Produced by Robert De Niro's TriBeCa Production. What else should I say, besides "embarrassing"? Seeing the great De Niro in his 20-year-old make-up while fighting like the seventy-year-old he's today, was simply painful. Al Pacino partially saves the film because, luckily, he does not appear in the flashbacks.
El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie (2019)
I could live also without
I had great expectations, as all Breaking Bad fans, and I'm very disappointed.
There's no attention at all for important details. The flashback with a 20 kg oversized Todd, for example, is simply ridiculous: Netflix could have put him on a diet a couple of weeks before starting the production.
Honestly, I could live also without it.
