Obi-Wan Kenobi (2022)
Much Maligned Undesevedly
In my opinion, this series is bang on target. Ewan has portrayed a beaten Kenobi very well, as has the story arc. There is enough action every episode to keep the adrenaline flowing. There are tantalising glimpses of who Kenobi was, leading to what will surely be an explosive finale. The look of horror on Kenobi's face when he learns that Anakin isn't dead was hugely impactful. There are enough droids, blasters and aliens to keep the true Star Wars fan happy. Is this true Star Wars? Absolutely!
True History of the Kelly Gang (2019)
Absolute Rubbish
Seriously the worst movie ever. The only tangible connection to Ned Kelly is his name. A serious affront to the Kelly story. If you want to see something truly accurate, watch The Last Outlaw. Throw this rubbish in the toilet where it belongs.
The Last Outlaw (1980)
First Rate Telling Of The Kelly Story
Watched this as a young fella when it was first released and was instantly fascinated with the story. Certainly gives food for thought as to what can make a man. The making of this series is as fascinating as the story itself. The reconstruction of The Glenrowan Inn was impeccable, and the producers wanted it to burn down in the same fashion as history told, which was achieved. Some of Neds actual weapons were used by John Jarratt during filming, who knows what his thoughts were on this tangible connection. The acting is exceptional, everyone was entirely believable in their role. Love him or hate him, I highly recommend watching this as a close to true telling of the Kelly story.
