Fair Play (2023)
A Man with Menopause
Once you wade through the over abundance of sexual filler, glaciers of four letter words which sadly occupy a good portion of the dialogue, you're left with a 20 minute scrap of film that's reasonably entertaining. The acting is excellent throughout but the dialogue is bloated and weak or as some say "wafer thin". This film should have been consedensed. On the outside, an admirable note was the sound track with its scrumptious buffet of rather obscure rhythm and blues selections. With the paltry script, it was frequent to Shazam the background music. This was the bulk of the entertainment during the hour and 55 journey which was the glue that kept us woefully watching. Hopefully there won't be a part two.
1945 (2017)
Cinematography Supreme but..
This is one of those films you either embrace or snooze.. Regrettably, the latter occurred. Yes, your head will bob back and forth with a snort here and there as crust fills your tear ducts.
From its onset, the film shows promise. It's just too minute of a situation to hold one's attention. All about nothing. When the film concludes ironically Amazon prime shows "watch again".
Growing up on Black and White film noirs was the first hope but the film just drags on and on. Two Jewish men haul a cart of perfumes to a local town. Then there's a town drunkard who guzzles brandy as fast as your pour gasoline into a vehicle. Admittedly the characters are well acted, exquisetly directed but the script is the monolithic boat anchor that sinks this product to the ground. By contrast and of the same era, Generations War was far superior.
So Sad About Gloria (1973)
Pure early 70s Schlock
This film suffers from many aspects: poor audio, lousy script and bare bones production. Conversely, it accurately captures the "absense" of the electronic age, natural beauty and innocence. The sound track is rather pleasant. If you're looking to relive this Era, it's worth a watch. Outside of this, there's nothing redeemable.
The Gumby Show: The Glob (1960)
Sweet Teeth
Gumby and Pokey attempt to escape a clay monster head, the Glob. They travel into Western times and seek out the help of Marshall Dill Pickle who has a showdown with the Glob monster.
The Gumby Show: Even Steven (1960)
Highway Robbery
Gumby and Pokey go on vacation and get robbed repeatedly by 2 motorcyclists. First they pose as a bridge toll collection, then they setup a detour to force Gumby and Pokey to take a boat and then as a towing company. Gumby and Pokey retaliate.
Medical Center: The Last Ten Yards (1969)
Arrogance by O.J. Simpson in rhis EP
The episode contains numerous racial slurs and O.J. Simpson exudes violence in his character.
Whats rather peculiar is Cicely Tyson is 45 years old (born 1924) and O.J. Simspon is 22 years old (born 1947) in real life in this 1969 1st episode.
