Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City (2021)
Poor but could be worse
I really wanted to like this movie, but let's be honest...
- Jill is... too different
- Also Leon is really different. But it's good, I don't like boy bands, but also his personality is too different
- Claire wears a helmet before getting on the motorbike.. Moreover a ugly helmet.
- some CGI is really poorly done
- the walking torch scene is...bruh
- the helicopter crash scene is so amateurish....
- most of the scenes are dull and predictable
- I won't even comment on the "weird friend" at the orphanage
- the first realistic and human natural sentiment and reaction can be seen after 2h
- the final monologue of Birkin.....
- .... Until the cow's aerodynamics....
In general the direction sucks. It's a pity, because they really have done a good job with some ambients reconstruction.
Better Call Saul: Saul Gone (2022)
I hate irrationality in scripts
Here all the bad reviews are focusing on the disappointing and shocking choice to give up his 7 years sentence to gain Kim's respect. I too don't consider it a rational behavior, certainly not compatible with the rest of the story: let's not forget that for the last 6 years he seemed to have accepted Kim's decision and he never tried to do anything to fix his relationship with her.
However, people are so shocked by this nonsense decision that they forget to focus on the absurd series of events that bring Jimmy to be caught in the first place. Let's try to list them here, starting with the decision to rob the shopping mall for a mere 5000$ to be split in 3: the plan seemed extremely risky, completely not in line with the genius of Jimmy. After that, he comes out with the idea of stealing identities: I actually appreciated that part, the plan looked perfect, no easy way to be caught if done well.
Finally the series of inaccuracies and stupid decisions. Not that this has an impact but it could: would it be so difficult to just say that nippy was found dead instead of bringing on a now useless lie?
Why being so much greedy with the last identity steal? It was too late, there was no reason to insist. Even though we could be convinced that Jimmy was absolutely sure he would enough time (meaning at least 1h if he planned to need 20m), why indulging more time than needed? Why playing around in the house? Why stealing?? Let's not ignore the fact that by stealing it could jeopardize the outcome of the identity theft, even by creating a danger to be tracked in the future. Someone could also say that breaking into the house smashing a window without stealing anything could have looked suspicious, but it's not what Jimmy had in mind, otherwise he would have done it at the beginning (and he could have thought about this even before insisting on the operation when he was still at home and he already knew the tape was removed). Why deliberately crashing the taxi in that way, instead of doing something a bit less exaggerated? And what about the not so smart granma becoming a PI ("con man Albuquerque", come on...). And after having manipulated her so long, really Saul Goodman couldn't convince her, maybe even by lying, that by calling the police, her son would go to prison? Like that he would have had the time to organise the extraction.
Man the three last episodes, including the one where he was recognised as Saul Goodman in the shopping mall, were written very badly. God in the moment Kim left Jimmy I knew that I should have imposed myself to stop watching. But my curiosity killed the show as greed killed Saul Goodman.
Moon (2009)
I've never loved so much to be wrong
I've watched this movie with my wife.
Some of my comments during the movie, below.
Me: you know? I feel this movie is BS. The ping between here and the moon is about 1s. You could have real-time communications, it doesn't make sense.
Me: it doesn't make any sense that he needs to be 3 years alone over there.. This movie lacks of scientific fundamentals.
Again me: it's quite clear already. After 3 years alone he's gone crazy. The robot never mention the fact that there is another one. He's schizophrenic....... Oh sorry... i shouldn't have said anything, now I've spoiled the movie also for you.
I WAS WRONG.
Apocalypse of Ice (2020)
Unwatchable
You soon understand that the movie is a big BS.
I will report the best part just for fun:
Passenger on the aircraft speaking at the phone: "hey, think we have a problem"
Person on the other side of the phone: "yeah I think the aircraft is falling down, take care and share the GPS location, I'll pass to pick you up when you crash"
The Wall (2017)
A waste of time full of nonsenses
I still don't understand why I forced myself to watch it until the end.
Containment (2015)
I feel I wasted my time
The movie doesn't make any sense. I confused it with another title, that's why I watched this by mistake. Don't do the same error!
