An Average Film With A Challenging Subject
22 December 2020
Handling the topic itself is a great challenge and Nolan and his team have done it nicely. Hoyte van Hoytema's cinematography is a great treat for the eyes. The movie score is pretty bad and the film misses it's golden touch due to Zimmer's absence. At some point I felt the score it too loud to hear the actors' talk.

Overall it is an average movie with an extraordinary and challenging subject and I won't count this film among the greatest creations by Nolan, yet it is pretty enjoyable to watch.

Below Average Movie Becomes Blockbuster by Public Emotions
29 July 2020
Public emotions made this below average movie a blockbuster. Talking about the performance by the lead duo (Sushant Singh Rajput and Sanjana Sanghi), it is nowhere close to the original film 'The Fault in Our Stars (2014)' starring Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort. Songs and score are mediocre and expectation was higher specially when it is done by A.R. Rahman.

Charlize Theron Steals the Show
21 July 2020
Charlize Theron is like a fine wine. At the age of 44, being a mother of two, she is playing the lead in kickass action movies.

Poor Casting

Poor casting and even poorer acting performances ruined a nicely thought original plot.

One of the Biggest Snub at the Oscars
27 March 2020
Watched the Extended Cut. The cinematography and production design is quite charming. Great performance by the leading actress duo. Definitely a big snub at the Oscars that year.

Absolutely Stunning
25 March 2020
A stunning piece of film with so much emotional factor that is enough to blow your mind and make every parent who do not take care of their children to question themselves about their morality.

Unnecessary Sequel
24 March 2020
The film is a celebration of the grand hit first installment 'Baishe Srabon (2011)' and that's all. Poor screenplay as well as the silly twist ending ruins the entire film. I think this is Srijit Mukherji's 2nd unnecessary film after 'Begum Jaan (2017)' which is just a Hindi remake of 'Rajkahini (2015)'.

The Cinematography And Editing Is Worth Watching
19 March 2020
Superb editing. Almost looks like a one-shot movie. Deserved at least a nomination in the Editing category at the Oscars. Roger Deakins' fascinating cinematography is a perfect treat for the eyes.

Before the Oscars 2020 ceremony a large number of people was saying this film would win Best Picture. Well, in my opinion, this film is nowhere near to 'Parasite' in terms of story, score, direction and screenplay.

Crazy Action Cool Soundtrack
16 March 2020
Crazy action sequences with cool soundtrack. The car escape scene through the art gallery while "O Fortuna" was playing in the background was pretty amazing.

People Need to Know the Actual Names
10 March 2020
Making a film on a true story and then turning it into a fiction by changing the name of the characters is surely an example of coward filmmaking and this is a known virus that affects Indian filmmakers most of the time when they decide to make a biopic. People need to know the names of the actual people whose lives are being portrayed on the screen.

A Great Plot Goes in Vain
19 February 2020
The best part of the film was the End Credit scene showing the actual photos of the ISRO scientists involved in the Mars Mission and a part of Narendra Modi's speech. The rest of the film is full of same Bollywood melodrama, annoying songs and rubbishness from the production team. Again a great plot goes in vain.

Truly Original and A Fascinating Treat for the Eyes
18 February 2020
Cinematography, sound and VFX is quite fascinating specially for an Indian movie. Story was original and no wonder why people are saying that Indian Film Board should have sent this to the Oscars instead of 'Gully Boy'. Academy loves original stories and 'Gully Boy' is somehow copied from Eminem's movie '8 Mile (2002)'. Anyway, a sequel of the film 'Tumbbad' is in the making and I'd love to watch that too.

A Passionate Love Story With Amazing Score
11 February 2020
A passionate love story against the backdrop of WWII comes as flashback in the mind of protagonist (Fiennes) as the current situation revolves around him. The performance by the whole cast specially Fiennes and Kristin is much appreciated. Gabriel Yared's charming background score completes the mood of the film.

Zellweger Shines but Can't Save the Boringness of the Film
3 February 2020
The story lineup is boring as hell but an amazing performance by Renée Zellweger makes everyone watch the movie. She must and will win the Oscar for Best Leading Actress this year for her performance as legendary Judy Garland.

The caveman and us are just separated by the time frame. It doesn't take much time for us to become like them, mentality wise.

The 'Classic' Scorsese Is Back
3 December 2019
The 'classic' Martin Scorsese is back and the film is full of magnificent acting performances from the all-star cast. We can expect the 2nd Oscar for supporting performance for Joe Pesci. There are some negative comments regarding the length of the film on the internet, but it was required as the film shows every last details of the events.

Nikkhil Advani Ruins the Plot
3 December 2019
A good story was on the line, stars we're ready to give there best, but a poor direction by director Nikkhil Advani damaged all the suspense and quality of the film.

Watch and Forget
28 November 2019
A blockbuster dull movie having a pretty average kind of story. The film genre says "Action Thriller" but Tiger Shroff's almost expression-less acting makes it "Comedy" in some of the scenes. Hrithik Roshan's performance is good as always. Overall it is a "Watch & Forget" kind of movie.

Shashi Tharoor Shines Like a Pro
26 November 2019
Shashi Tharoor has some serious sense of humor. His performance was the best out of the 5 celebrity performers. Bhuvan Bam's performance is at number 2 and then comes Taapsee Pannu's. Vishal Dadlani's was the worst. He forgot his lines multiple times and was using foul languages in every sentence, making it a vulgar comedy.

Should Have Deserved Some Recognition from the Academy
11 November 2019
There are a very few films which can't be expressed in words. 'Antichrist' is one of those. Brilliantly made by director Lars von Trier and wonderful performance by both the actors, specially Charlotte Gainsbourg. I think the film should have deserved some recognition from the Academy, at least for Charlotte's performance. Also, I found it little underrated.

Crazy action scenes and amazing shooting locations weren't enough to put this spin-off at the same standard of the recent F&F movies.

Stunning visual with some amazing background score make this film worth watching. Brilliant work by the VFX team. Child Simba's overloaded cute look is fantastic.
