The worst film in the world!
9 May 2022
This film rejects the ordinary audience, and those who do not like to watch films with strange themes will get bored after a short time. For me, the only strength of the film is Renate Reinsve. Who has a few brilliant moments. Remember that if you or your loved ones are sick, watching this movie will make you feel bad.

the lovely poem
13 July 2015
8 years after his last film , once again Majid Majidi has done it.this time with the cooperation of some big names behind the camera. he has made a great film about the childhood of the holy profit , Muhammad.

the story is told in different episodes just like the way Quran tells stories , but here episodes don,t match perfectly and it could be more integrated.

the cinematography is one of the best i have ever seen.it seems that the camera flies everywhere along with the young hero.watching this film is just like watching beautiful paintings in a gallery.

the whole city is actually made in real size and it takes us to 7th CAD. the visual effects ,also is believable and beautifully illustrates a story told in Quran.

the best aspect of the film seems to be the music, made by A.R Rahman. it is really unique and impressive. 3 hours is too much for this drama and it could be shorter.

after all, this is a great film to watch. it,s just a long lovely poem.

listen to the song of sparrows
23 December 2014
Warning: Spoilers
another great film from great Majid Majidi. those people who live in Iran can deeply feel the atmosphere of the film.in this film Karim is a symbol of humankind and birds are messengers of god. their appearance each time reminds Karim the fact of his life.every time we hear the sound of sparrows Karim is making a decision and god wants to help him to make the best. it seems that no one else can do this. in this film ostrich is a symbol of Karim and so a symbol of human. ostrich is like birds but can not fly ,so as Karim. he wants to be bad but he cant. some of the shots taken from above seem to be from the gods point of view. for example when Karim goes through a burned field with a blue door on his back, a door to sky, or when he searches for the lost bird. the music from Alizadeh is excellent and really impressive and fits the scenes. it's all about humanity...
