High Incident (1996)
Why isn't "High Incident" on DVD?
Can someone please put this show on DVD. Maybe Amazon can produce a DVD. Maybe Netflix will run it. It is amazing how some of the greatest shows get cancelled while some of the crap goes on forever.
Almost Human (2013)
Almost Human should be Picked Up
I absolutely love this show. Maybe NETFLIX will consider picking up this show - like they did with another show I love - Lucifer.
Lucifer (2016)
Why did they change Nicholas Gonzalos the original Pilot husband???
They changed the guy that played the husband in the Pilot originally and re-shot it with a new guy. Why??? The original worked a lot better than the new guy and Gonzalos had a much better rapport with the cast Plus - two bluish green eyed people can't have a dark brown eyed child. You had better write the original guy back into the show somehow and come up with a reason why it's really his kid so we can believe it. I purchased the Pilot on HD for 2.99 and I was very disappointed because I was expecting the original husband. This new guy is a bummer to me. What happened to make the change? But I do so love the show. Plus I was hoping you would reuse the guy that played the rapper in the Pilot. He was excellent. The chemistry between German and Ellis is fantastic. The show seems to be depending on guest actors that are not very good. I love this show so get some better actors. Through the first 4 episodes I had no complaints with actors in the Pilot but from episodes 2 - 4 there is a lot to be desired.
The Break-Up (2006)
What a waste of D'Onofrio
Here is a movie that had cast two fantastic male actors (Vince Vaughn and Vincent D'Onofrio) and didn't know what to do with them. I have long hoped to see such a pairing, since they do look like they could actually be brothers. But, it was not to be. This irked me throughout the movie --which I didn't care much for in the first place. But, my mind wanders at what a fantastic film it could have been had the conflict between the brothers been more pronounced and the whinny female conflict been given second place. I saw the movie more as a "How women have to change a man for their own (the man's) good" rather than a love story. You get what you see in a man. If you don't like what's there, go somewhere else. I found this to be a chick flick with the excuse being that the brother agreed.
The Stepford Children (1987)
"Stepford Children" Makes a Very Intelligent Point
The Stepford Children, besides being a very good made for TV movie, shows the very disturbing result of indoctrination. It is quite a statement about how being made to act within the confines of what is considered "Good" behavior can destroy whatever it is that makes a person unique and an individual. I think that this is a movie that parents who want to maintain some semblance of the thought that loams within the hearts and minds of youngsters should watch with their children and discuss what the movie is saying. I don't know if that was in any way the intent of this movie but I have always been of the opinion that it is one of the best movie devices against the wish to have children conform to an unrealistic and domineering pretense of what is in the best interest of anyone other than that of the children themselves. I hope to one day see this movie on DVD. I am at the starting gate... waiting.
Inferno (1953)
Robert Ryan in "Inferno" is a must see.
Every time I open IMDb I look to see if "Inferno" with Robert Ryan, is on TV or DVD. It never is. Where are the brains in DVDdom that decides what movies to put out. We can all access some of the trash contained in the crevices of a DVD. Why not that same input into greatness. Who do I talk to? Who do I call? Where are the gods of fairness? Maybe Hollywood is intimidated by real men themes and real acting and think that the public may learn they are mere pretenders if they were to put this movie "Out There". Maybe an intelligent script threatens their belief that the public can only digest pixels of sense and not megabytes. Why is it always non-sense before sense?
2/13/2013 UPDATE - FINALLY. Inferno on DVD I purchased it today on Amazon. Ha Ha Happy.
