I care less for anyone's sexual preferences,
but god almighty, everyone seems to be gay-on-film these days. Not 5 minutes into the show, and the main protagonist is gay, like they couldn't wait to announce this. Is it to appease a certain minority group into viewership?
Man, no wonder so many people are confused these days. A similar trope these days is watching some couple (Gay or not) engaging in sexual activity... for almost the whole gig. Really? Humans must be the only species that takes particular interest in the mating ritual of another lot.
I'm definitely no prude but leave the cr@p out. If I was keen I'd rather watch a great ol' p0rn flik - Simple.
Now I know some of you will call me this and that, and that is exactly the bloody point, why can't we just get a great series without having to promote or demote any socio-political agendas?
I just lost interest in the character for a menial reason, but hey, it happens.

( If you are not part of the solution, you are part of the problem... )
If these images are not shared and taken in for mental digestion then all the indiscretions of humankind will be buried and negated from affairs on the large list of issues that need to be dealt with collectively. The concern of the desensitisation of human emotion is a valid concern, albeit, it is the existence of such rare documentaries that change becomes palpable. Agreed, if we made hard-hitting documentary features all of the time then it would feel average. Shouting at the director/producer because you may be squeamish over the factual existence of animal torture as opposed to standing up and fighting for change via active involvement, makes you as culpable as the policy makers. Shock-treatment documentary making with plausible change advice is key to the enlightenment and the approach and tackle of human error. Good engineering practitioners always taught the young aspiring 'engineerlings', '...don't come to me with a problem, come to me with a solution.'
