Mad About You (1988)
A question about this show
I've seen this show in passing and personally it just doesn't strike me as all that interesting. I mean, it's not horrible but I've seen better. Some scenes here and there weren't bad. Haven't seen enough of it. This is not my question here, but it does cross my mind. Who would name a child Mabel, much less Mabel Buchman. My question is this. I have read somewhere that Paul and Jamie get a divorce at the end of the series. Is that true? I know not all relationships are perfect. Still, that seems like an odd ending. So anyway I was just wondering if and why that happened. I really have nothing else to say here :) Thanks for responses.
Waiting for the Light (1990)
Bad Memories of this movie
Our teacher showed us this movie in first grade. I haven't seen it since. I just watched the trailer though. Does this look like a first grade movie to you? I don't think so. I was so horrified by this movie, I could barely watch it. It was mainly the scene with Shirley McClain cutting that little girl in half, and then there was the boy with ketchup! I was freaked out by this film. Now today, being 20, I probably would not feel that way. I just wanted to share my experience and opinion that maybe small children shouldn't see this movie, even though it's PG. Be aware of the possible outcomes of showing this to kids. I don't even remember what it was about, once was enough!
Supernanny (2005)
Not as good as Nanny 911
ABC has tried to make another show like Fox's Nanny 911, but it wasn't quite the same. Jo didn't seem to get through to the kids as fast as they do on 911.Actually, Jo got through to them 10 minutes before the show was over. The parents, unusually, were completely willing the whole time to do what Jo said. Completely cooperative parents is something you never see on 911. And then about halfway through the show Jo leaves, watches the family through some other building by cam, and then comes back and says all the things the parents have done wrong while she was out. I kind of thought that the nannies on 911 got closer to the children, like it wasn't just a "job" or something, they loved working with them. I wasn't left with that with Supernanny. It wasn't a bad show, overall, but if you're looking for the best show like this, I'd say watch nanny 911 instead.
Comfort and Joy (2003)
Did not understand this movie (spoilers here)
I only watched this movie for Nancy Mckeon in the first place.
I was highly confused by this film. What made Jane forget her family in the first place? She has an accident and then she's got this family. I don't understand why she forgot them to begin with. Must have missed that.
Dixie Carter was a good add to the cast though. The ending of the movie also left me with a feeling of confusion.
I don't think this is one of Nancy's best films. Not her fault though. Just a bad storyline in my opinion. Don't expect something awesome out of this movie. Feel free to explain to me!!
