Unauthorized Living (2018–2020)

A fantastic surprise

Clearly this Series values a lot more than the 7.4 rating it has!

Is like a Narcos but fast paced with a lot more twists and very well acted.

Quality is even and eventually season 2 outpaces season 1.

Has only 23 episodes but since all of them have about 73 minutes equates about 37 episodes of a regular tv show with 45 minutes per episode.

Its all filmed on the beatifull cenary of "rias bajas" I believe Pontevedra ria, and despite all the violence and tension has its comic moments and a lot of personnages which personality is unique and well developed, specially the Capo "Nemo" with alzheimer .

Highly recommend it, I started and I couldn't stop watch.

Silent Cargo (2022–2024)

Better than many TV shows witth much higher rating

I can't understande the low rating. Based on real events, short but characters doesn't lack depth, packed with action and tense situations, well performed, definitely a spanish-portuguese series that must be seen! We need more like these one!

8 First Dates (2012)

A very Good Comedy highly recommended

Based on a impossible premise, which brings fun to all subsquent scenes, the acting level is top notch with very melodical musics. It is in fact a comedy at par with bests comedies I have seen through the years.

Red Nights (2010)

A Giallo Franco Cantonese, very graphic and well done.

This is from a critic, which I thing summarize the movie:

Is most certainly not to everyone's taste and yet it's a rather fascinating movie: It's violent, it's perverted, its protagonists are all deplorable one way or another, but at the same time it tells an enjoyably bizarre story in elegant pictures and at a steady pace, it never loses itself in its perverions or bloodbaths but manages to always see the bigger picture, it features some bizarre but fun twists and turns, and it's carried by a very competent cast.

If you're into the grotesque, this is certainly worth a look!

I've seen several movies about football or soccer and this one is definitely the best so far. Because it focuses mainly on the backstage of the players' lives, making it interesting even for those who don't like this sport.

1883 (2021–2022)

Western American colonization at it's best.

Extremelly well paced and portrayed depiction of western colonization by the Americans on the 19th century.

Specially recommended for those, like me, that love period/historic dramas, and not being American I do enjoy American history.

And this one is one of most fascinating themes... people looking for new opportunities on dangerous and unpopulated territories.

So far and at the end of 3rd episode, it is a must see.

Run, Waiter, Run! (1981)

Fantastic! Do not run from it!

For me comedy is the hardest genre, and this one is top, one of the best I've seen, really top notch.

I'm making subtitles in portuguese, and I couldn't contain laughs in two scenes.

It never happened to me before.

A must see!

I'm not a Beliver or Unbeliver, but God is not indifferent to me, since I tend o suspect that We are alone in the Universe due to recent studies on probability of contemporaneous life to Ours in the Universe applying the old Drake Equation.

On the estimated nunber of planets in the Universe, today when the total number of stars is known, applying that equation reaches an incredible probability close to "1"!

Therefore all concerns with Criation on Christianism and Islam makes me wonder! Another coincidence!

Saying that, this series is very good by telling the counted and recounted Story of Jesus, with severall films, in a way that make it appeal and interesting, which is by no means easy! So the reason of my 10!

This is something that touches almost 2/3 of mankind (Christhians and Muslims, on the later Jesus as prophet wil came before the judgment day to restore justice on mankind)!

Truth and Justice (2019)

A Jean de Florette and Manon des sources a lot worse

Sorry, but this movie does nor deseerve the rating it has.

It is a Jean de Florette and Manon des sources, but even a slower pace and a plot ( without twists) an grit, miles awat from those movies, which yes deserve the 8.0 rating they have.

Dune (2021)

Fantastic movie

Fantastic theme, fantastic slow pace, fantastic visuals ans special effects.

This movie will be a landmark on fiction cinema. A lot better than the original of 1984.

A must see, even for those not fans of sci-fi films, like me.

The Last Metro (1980)

Average movie, resembles more a documentary...

Sorry by I do no align with general view, this movie seems a documentary, theres is no grit or suspense or war scenes... just the daily life on a theatre during the WWII in Paris, with people talkink to each other, absolutely nothing more!

I really like history movies and tvshows. This one is very enjoayble, witth a developing European/Asiatic romance, intertwined with an European /Asiatic war, which leds to the fall of Singapore for the second. Hope season 2 will came out.

Fantastic period series, portrays the WWII in a more mundane way, through the lives of several protagonists during the Nazi occupation, without however losing its liveliness and an adequate and real level of suspense in the city depicted. The representation and the plot are at the level of the best TV shows.

A very well done and represented microhistory inside a well known macrohistory the Yom Kippur 1973 war. So far on episode 8 the series is stellar. Hope We will be presented with a season 2 and so on...perhaps focusing on southern front at Sinai.

Fantastic, better than 1917

A Recommended Tv Show that deserves higher rating

This Tv Series for me stands close to Charité S01 in terms of quality and depiction of a certain era of an institution/Germany, so I recommend it seriously for those who like history type Series.

I´m reproducing comment of a critic with which I agree in full:

Bauhaus, the new era has a good pace. Shows the effervescence of that time and hopes to create a new way of life not only in art, but also in architecture, contemporary music and even feminism. It's a portrait fun for those who know the history of the institution. And an excellent approach for those who know little about a crucial school in 20th century art and design history.

White Lines (2020)

A series better than a lot of them with higher rating. Why?

1 Decent plot.

2. Very good cinematography .

3. Mix of actors of different countries, spoken languages.

4. Beautiful places.

5. Good Acting.

Hope all series has the quality of this one, specially from netflix.

Charité (2017– )

Fantastic Season 1! Good Season 2!

Really fantastic Season 1 centered on ¾ main characters, the others swing around them. Nice period drama around main characters medicine discoveries, and all the atmosphere of German Empire well catched. Even a famous English detective appears to give an extra salt to the first season. Second season falls a lot short in comparison with de first, in my opinion Nazi atmosphere is not perfectly depicted, although still enjoyable to see.

BRAVO !! For season 1!!!

Ragnarok (2020–2023)

Good show similar to fortitude

Good Show. Reminds me a little bit like Fortitude, perhaps by be in the snow and for all the mystery surrounding the plot!
