A Walk to Remember (2002)
Everybody deserves to witness a miracle
Such a romantic movie, I was amazingly happy to share with my students, the movie is so authentic that explore the limits of love in all its forms, the respect for family, the love that changes a person, the love for your own goals and dreams, miracles may happen in different ways and it is up to us to be able to see it. Hope I could share my feelings towards that with my friends and hope they keep it real for their personal dreams and desires, everybody deserves to witness a miracle.
Big Brother Brasil (2002)
beauty faces factory?
I can't believe that after suffering from dictatorship from a great tyrant, it came to Brazil an even greater tyrant, invisible to many, way beyond the citizen Kane or 1984, transforming all watchers in everything but critics of our brutal reality, allowing discussing a TV programming that brings nothing but a beauty contest, headlining newspaper instead of our economic troubles, a preview of who will star the next month playboy, or even who will be in next alderman elections, I truly trust that the media can produce something a lot better than that, and the people will be represented for what they are in TV, so I have nothing else to say about Big Brother Brazil except awful plus horrible.
Pulp Fiction (1994)
A 20th century masterpiece
The intelligent cut from the editor Sally Menke working with the master Quentin Tarantino, has just made a movie worth watching over and over to enjoy each particular scene, a tribute to everyone who likes movies and good music, a puzzle just possible to be done by watching more than once in order to memorize those amazing quotes, quotes like "I do believe Marsellus Wallace, my husband, your boss, told you to take me out and do whatever I wanted. Now I want to dance, I want to win. I want that trophy, so dance good." A scene that makes us travel in time to gold Ed Sullivan's time or to Grease, great lines that just Tarantino's at his best could deliver, tomato joke, hamburgers, 5 dollar shake, watch hidden in the ass, sword and memorable characters, surely my top 10 best movies ever made.
12 Angry Men (1957)
Amazing plus Awesome!
I believe I have watched this movie over 30 times or more, and each time I get amazed by the actors performance in this once for a lifetime movie, one of the greatest movie of all times, I can't pick just one scene to recall, but if one represents this movie is the line "do you really think he is innocent?" and Henry Fonda amazingly answer "I don't know", I totally believe each line from him, he meant it. Freedy Levit's review is right, it should be in everyone's top ten list of greatest films of ALL TIME....., and it's surely in mine. It should be the movie watched by any person who wants to be a great actor or actress, of how is possible to make an incredible movie with just words and pure interpretation without the pyrotechnic that seems to be necessary in our times.
