The Lion King (1994)
10/10
Best Animated Film Ever
14 January 2016
Disney's 'The Lion King' is the coming of age tale of mischievous Lion Cub Simba, destined to be King. But after a tragic turn of events, Simba runs away from Pride Rock to start a new life, only for his past to come back and haunt him.

'The Lion King' is considered the greatest animated film of all time. 'The Lion King' is a fun, touching and beautiful family film for all ages to enjoy. Including amazing original songs, starting with the Oscar Nominated song, 'Circle Of Life' and also including the Oscar Winning, 'Can You Feel The Love Tonight'.

'The Lion King' teaches kids about Responsibility, Family, Love and Sacrifice. Mufasa's willingness to protect Simba at all costs, exhibits unconditional love. Simba grows up to realize he has a responsibility to his Kingdom and must take his place as King, despite his past, but he knows that it is the right thing to do.

The animation is beautiful and the voice talents by all the actors and actresses are great.

'The Lion King' will have you cheering, laughing, crying, and you will not be able to get the songs out of your head and will be singing them all day.

'The Lion King' is a top notch film by Walt Disney and is definitely worth watching with the family. So, if you are looking for a good family film, go watch 'The Lion King.'

The 5th Wave (2016)
10/10
Stunning!
14 January 2016
The 5th Wave is a new Sci-Fi Film directed by J Blakeson and is based on the novel of the same name by Rick Yancey. Cassie Sullivan (Chloë Grace Moretz,-Kick Ass) was a normal teenage girl before Earth was invaded by the others, destroying homes and family's. In desperation to find her younger brother, she teams up with a man who might be her final hope.

I had been excited for this movie for maybe about a year. When the movie finally came out, I went in on the first day and first session, and boy was I not disappointed!

Director J Blakeson did an amazing job with pretty much everything in this movie!

Chloë Grace Moretz made a terrific performance playing the title role Cassie Sullivan. She got in so much depth with her character, she played the emotions perfectly, not under-exaggerated, not Over- Exaggerated, it was perfect!

But so were all the other actors, including Alex Roe as Evan Walker, and Nick Robbinson as Ben Parish.

Director J Blakeson did so well at keeping the story at a pace, the story never got boring and it never stretched out any of the scenes. I was always at the edge of my seat, especially with realistic special effects of the floods, the explosions, EVERYTHING!

The story was filled with heaps of action and awesomeness! It is hard to find a movie these days with a great story-line, effects, dialogue and acting. But, this movie was fantastic and is worth the $15.00 you pay for the ticket. It did leave me with a few questions though, but it was overall, one of the greatest movies I have ever seen. I would watch it again and buy it on Blu-Ray. So if you are looking for a good watch, go see The 5th Wave!

Carrie (2002 TV Movie)
7/10
Not bad.
24 November 2015
Now, although this isn't the best Carrie Adaption, I still did enjoy it. I do love how it added a lot more from the novel to this adaption, but it does have it flaws. For example the Special Effects. The Special Effects really ruin the movie quite a bit. They are quite awful for a film made in 2002. The 1976 version looked more realistic. But does that ruin it entirely for me? No. It is the story that gets me. Angela Bettis made a great Carrie, her acting was fantastic. She had played a shy, awkward and lonely girl and she was amazing. Although I do think she overacted at some points, I thought she shook too much and she does go cross eyed at times, although it was extremely effective after she got dumped in blood. Most of the other Actors did a pretty good job and it was a fun watch. I still do prefer the 2013 Adaption out of all of them, but I still love this version and all of the others as well. Not bad.

Carrie (2013)
7/10
Amazing remake.
9 November 2013
Warning: Spoilers
A re imagining telling of the story Carrie based on the novel by Stephen King. In my opinion Carrie's Chloe Grace Moretz is mesmerizing. Carrie 2013 is amazing for it's acting and it is also great for keeping some of the scenes from the original that are not shown in the book. I found that this version of Carrie focused more on the mother and daughter relationship story. Carrie loves her mother and her mother loves her. (Also said by Kimberly Pierce.)I agree with her. It also shows that Margaret is trying to be the best parent that she does not know how to be. (Also said by Chloe Grace Moretz.) I also agree with her. Both movies have different qualities. The original you see has more of a creepy and insane feel to it. In this adaptation of the story, you see Carrie as a bit more innocent and that she is not hurting innocent people. Even though she does in the book. But I guess it depends what you like. I would recommend you watch it if you loved the original.

Carrie (1976)

Fantastic!
12 October 2013
Warning: Spoilers
In my opinion this film is absolutely a fantastic film based on the novel by Stephen King. It had an amazing setting and really focused on how bullying can make you go insane. Sissy Spacek's performance of Carrie White a timid shy girl was amazing and she portrayed the character very well. Piper Laurie's performance of Margaret White her religious and crazy mother was brilliant and she portrayed and acted really well for this character and is what I expect to see in a character like her. Brian De Palma's Carrie is a true horror film and very unextraordinary. An amazing tale of a misfit named Carrie White who causes telekinetic chaos on her town. I recommend if you want something different and not too creepy, to watch Carrie.
