Spontaneous (2020)
most people wont get it
The problem with makng a move that doesnt fit into any of the movie types is, people will stuff the move into a type and complain that it doesnt work..
in a nutshell, many people just got seperated from friends and family for months because of covid.
but, what if it wasnt because of covid? what if your friends and family exploded or were taken away by the government? what would you do?
Reprisal (2018)
play wth the cat instead. far more entertaining.
If you are bothered by stupid things in movies like calling a standard trailer door cargo lock a specality lock. or saying the bank robber needed to have percise measurements to know what size adjustable lock to put on a door ,or a bank robber who who identified whch two guys had that the combonation to open the safe, before he robbed the bank, then didnt recognize the guy when he beats him up during an armored car robbery, do not watch this movie.
if you enjoy a retired cop charging into a hostage situation through the front door, a bank officer taking a handgun from the retired cop and then just happened to have a spare mag in his pants, an armored car guard who doesnt shoot the robber through the gun ports,a retired cop and the patients mom telling the paramedics what drugs to administer, the mom adminstering the drugs in an ambulance, the retired cop forgetting to chamber a round in his shotgun untll just before he shot the bad guy, then this move is for you.
if you fgure out how an electronic road flare disabled an armored car, please let me know.
Emulation (2010)
deja vu all over again
and now for a review that was not written by the director's mother. If you feel like you have seen this movie before, you watched the movie "the game". I knew what was going to happen, because the game already did it. unfortunately, this movie is very bad and very unbelievable. the FBI agents are, maybe, 20 years old. the suspect escapes from a detention room with a paper clip and a rubber band. the FBI left a paper clip and a rubber band in the room. suspect escapes from the detention faculty by pulling a fire alarm. a person manages to film the suspect, including from an assassins car, and not be seen by the suspect. or the assassin. the suspect calls a radio show and says he is a hostage and they are heading to a bridge, and the FBI falls for it. the lead bad guy rigs a building with explosives before he knew his main plan would be thwarted and he would need the building to be rigged to explode. the lead bad guy orders his minion to handcuff the suspect to a pole. minion duct tapes his hands. suspect was duct taped so it would appear he shot the FBI agent and threw a girl off a roof and called the FBI. while his hands were duct taped. i cant tell you the ending, but lets just say the main character realizes he was used, set up, lied to. this is all confirmed by the person who set him up. and the main character never hits him. i think i can safely say any one of us would have beaten him with a chair.
SPOILER ALERT
the whole thing was a TV show. everybody was watching. but the suspect never saw the show? his own mother did not tell him? he watched the news several times, listened to the radio, and never heard of ,or saw the show? no one that he ran by ever said "dude, you are on TV"?
Battle Force (2012)
bad movie
don't watch this if you know anything about WWII, military tactics, firearms, rank, insignias, know which way a swastika hangs, know there is a difference between the 101'st airborne and the 82nd airborne and members of the 82nd don't wear 101st patches or if it would bother you if you saw a new clean living room set in a bombed out WWII village. or , when concrete railroad ties started to be used on railroads. do watch this is you like cleavage and, in all fairness, there are two great hand to hand/knife fights in it. near the end of the movie our hero has to fight two bad guys, the spy and the guy protecting the spy. oh, and if you know your Vietnam war area military vehicles, close your eyes during the garrison scene.
