On the Cover (2004)
Game show with flavor
I just saw this show for the first time on Pax. The show takes covers from popular magazines and asks questions relating to the photo. The idea seemed like it works because I enjoyed the show. It may not have much staying power like Wheel of Fortune but it seems great if you enjoy questions related to pop culture. I've always enjoyed Mark Walberg. He has a great TV personality. Walberg can keep the attention of the audience. And the comments that he makes are great for a smirk. I enjoyed Walberg in Russian Rullette as well. I really enjoyed the third round which has stars on parody magazine covers. I hope that they can continue with this concept for a while. It's a nice break from mainstream game shows.
Selling Innocence (2005)
Excellent
This film was excellent at hitting an issue that has become very common recently. Children being photographed in provocative clothing that is being passed off as modeling. These pictures are then setup on a web-page. This web-page is then suppose to be getting the child out there for clients to see. Without proper steps being taken to make sure these are real clients that want to use the child in a modeling job. Some sick perverts use the website as a way to "get off". This has been an issue that has been discussed on several talk shows. This film was had a great storyline. You really felt the emotions of each of the characters. By showing all sides of the story you understand why each character does what they do. A great movie considering it was made for Lifetime unlike some that are drawn out.
Feardotcom (2002)
Not even possible
The movie seems like an intriguing story at first. You think your are going to enjoy a scary movie with plot twists. While watching this movie in the beginning I thought it was alright. Then the movie went from somewhat possible to unbelievable.
The girl that was hunting the website had a condition. Her mother said she had hemophilia but that is impossible. Females can't have hemophilia because it is found on the x chromosome which females have 2 of. Meaning they can only be carriers of the disease. I think that if the writer did some research they would have discovered this information. I learned this in my 10 grade biology class.
I can't believe that nobody discovered this information before they shot the film. Jeanie having hemophilia was such a large part of the plot too.
A very bad, poorly researched film that would get a 3 out of 10 stars from me.
