It Takes a Thief (2005–2007)
10/10
An enticing show!
10 April 2008
When I was watching the Discovery channel one day, I noticed this show was on. I had nothing better to do or watch so I decided to see what it was about. The show amazed me from the start.

The hosts are ex-burglars who have the skills and knowledge of burgling to help instruct people on ways to improve their security and protection. It's always interesting to watch how they rob a family or person of their entire possessions and do it so quickly that their getaway is almost perfect.

After the owners return and realize they have been robbed, they return their possessions as well as giving them much needed protection for their safety and to help prevent further burglaries and break-ins.

The show is always interesting to watch and keeps me entertained since they always steal so much in so little time. It a show that keeps us informed about the dangers of robbers and also shows us the chaos of burglaries and theft in action.

Last Days (2005)

Underrated
20 June 2007
Warning: Spoilers
This movie was really great. I'm a fan of Gus Van Sant's death trilogy and this really caught my attention when I saw it. Most movies focus on a lot of dialog and this movie is mostly focused on Blake, the main character in the movie. The movie depicts Blake as a Kurt Cobain-like character and shows how he lives his last days before committing suicide. The setting of the movie is very good since almost all of it happens to take place in his house or around his house, and so not having so many characters or extras shows true isolation and better "color" to Blake's depressing life. The movie is also doesn't focus directly on Blake all the time, hence having miscellaneous scenes by other characters such as when the Yellow Book Salesman comes by or when the two Mormons arrive. There are some strange scenes and sound effects in the movie which also show how disarranged Blake's life and mind are. Not that he is insane, but rather that his life has withered and disappeared. We're not supposed to understand why Blake does these things since we do not know the entire situation but rather given details by miscellaneous scenes in the movie to indicate the fragments of his life and assemble his depressing story one piece at a time. The movie might not be the best but it is really good and definitely worth seeing. It is the extraordinary movie that is great to watch if you're either depressed or feeling lonely.

Survivorman (2004– )
10/10
An Insane and Excellent Show
15 June 2007
This is definitely one of the most interesting shows to watch. There are lots of survival shows out there, but this one really kicks the competition. This show is great to watch because Les Stroud really does survive. Most of these types of shows use camera crews to document their survival, which isn't bad either, but this is pretty much a one-man show. The show definitely has a lot of great adventures taken on by Les Stroud, the Survivorman. This is a unique show of how insane it is to survive alone in different wilderness situations and scenarios. This is a great show to watch and I'd definitely recommend watching it if you want to see REAL survival.

Control (2003)

Excellent thriller!!!
15 April 2007
Warning: Spoilers
This was by far one of the best foreign thriller-films I've ever seen. I like how the setting is always set in the subways to give it a more Gothic flavor, like everyone is dependent on the subway and that nothing exists above ground. I don't really know what the plot was for this movie, but it was still pretty good. The man who keeps pushing people in front of subways isn't really shown so much as most movies would promote their antagonists, but this fit in very nicely. This is a different movie from the ones I've seen and am used to and I like how they don't give it some uninspired title like "Subway" or "Underground". The reason it's called "Kontroll" is because the movie is about the ticket inspectors trying to control the metro and the others who think they're in control. It's a very cool and great movie to watch! I'd definitely recommend watching this!

Could've been better
14 April 2007
This was an awesome movie! I've been a big fan of Aqua Teen for a while and this movie, funny and random (like most Aqua Teen episodes), could've been better. I thought there were some really hilarious scenes but I suppose certain randomness was just a little too much. Personally, I liked the older episodes since they weren't all about sex and making out. It was more of just the Aqua Teens and Carl doing something silly or stupid. The movie was funny and the plot did seem quite random, which was good, but I suppose they didn't have to come at such an angle with dirty jokes or sex scenes. There are a million movies out today that already do that. I don't want to watch another that does the same. The Aqua Teens are already hilarious without all of that. One thing I particularly liked was that the main characters were still the same as they have been. Not like Family Guy where all the characters are written around a script and not the script written around the characters. I thought the characters did still have their same traits and personalities which was great since cartoons (after a while) have their characters changing personalities. This is a funny movie and I liked it very much. If they just took out so much cliché cartoon antics of the 21st Century, they'd have my 10 stars.

Invader ZIM (2001–2006)

Different, but great cartoon
18 February 2007
This is one strange cartoon however it is very entertaining. One aspect about this cartoon is that it is very dark, Gothic, and morbid. Everything seems slightly futuristic with a very Gothic and partially horrid tone of scenery. For example, the school they go to has a very rustic look except that you observe the certain futuristic technology used. I have never seen them mention anything about the relative time by the year, so I'd assume it would be a blend of future and present. It's also funny since there are a lot of strange things that give it a more dark and sinister style too. It's also funny since this is supposed to be about an alien whom no one suspects is an alien except for a skeptical boy. You'll notice that a lot of the characters have three lettered names too: "ZIM", "DIB", "GIR", "GAZ". Most of the episodes are great when you see something different and even more strange aspects of each episode. This is a little strange but it's really interesting. You'll have to see it to know what I mean.

How It's Made (2001–2019)
10/10
Awesome show! Better than most learning shows...
17 February 2007
This is a spectacular show. It is always interesting to see how ordinary products and tools are made. Plus we never suspect how they're assembled either. Most learning shows I've seen aren't very interesting, but this show keeps my attention and my interest. They explain everything at a nice pace and show almost every step in the process. This is great since you don't just have a narrated representation but more of a visual representation. I like how they explain the assembly in layman's terms so viewers have an easier time understanding how things are made. They also explain the terms used in the industries so it isn't completely dumbed down. I kind of thought they might run out of things that would be made since they show so many per episode. This show is really great and it'll be sure to keep you interested and wanting to watch more.

The Shrek Mock-up
6 January 2007
Warning: Spoilers
I thought this movie would be stupid-silly, but it turned out that it was just stupid. There are better movies to see. This seemed too much like something from Shrek. Shrek was better actually. This was just strange and not scary, not funny, not interesting, and not worth seeing. Some parts were silly, but I rarely laughed. A lot of it seemed like it was just a waste of time. It was almost as if the director wanted to get as close to an hour as possible. I remember sitting and thinking it'd be over but it was just a half hour into the movie. Not much more to say since the plot seemed stupid too. The story made no sense near the middle and toward the end. The evil stepmother just invited every evil or bad fairytale character to come, booze out, and dance. Any REAL action??? Nope. Just some parts where Rick and Ella are trying to find the Prince. If there's any other movie on your TV or in the theater, please watch something that ISN'T THIS.

A Resident Evil side-kick
27 December 2006
This was a great movie! Why does everyone rate this badly? Some friends told me they hated it since it didn't follow the game. So what? I don't care if it does or doesn't. It's got blood, action, shooting, The Rock, and a Resident Evil-style plot. I remember watching this and thinking it was pretty good. I rated it eight out of ten since it was a mock-up of Resident Evil in many ways, but also it had some pretty awesome action! It wasn't all that bad. Some parts I didn't exactly like, but other parts made up for it. The ending was also different from what I thought it would be. Whether or not you played the game, you have to watch this movie. It's a must!

Psycho meets Delicatessen
24 December 2006
Warning: Spoilers
This was a great movie! I remember seeing small 3-second preview clips of it with a guy wearing a pig's head and holding a chainsaw. At first, I thought that maybe there was a pig who had been transformed into a murderer and just started killing people, but it was better. I thought it was pretty good, but some parts seemed like they didn't fit into the movie. Some other parts however were really great! I don't understand why this movie was rated so low. I enjoyed it, but I don't think I'd watch it many more times. The ending where Bruce and Vincent are fighting with chainsaws was some good action. It reminded me of something from Friday the 13th. I'd recommend anyone who hasn't seen this to see it when you can.

Retarded
24 December 2006
What was the point of this movie? What was the plot? I do not know. Shaq can't act, people don't know how to direct, and I am Kazaam! A genie who raps? Come on. Maybe Eminem or Linkin Park will be in a movie like this. I remember I watched this just to kill time. It didn't really interest me. I just remember thinking, "Who put Shaq in this movie???" The whole story seemed stupid too. It made no sense whatsoever. I guess an unrealized moral of this movie is that you can find anything in the ghetto and anything can happen. I can't comment much more because this movie is so terrible there's nothing worth commenting about. I "wish" this movie would go away.

Not bad
17 December 2006
This movie was pretty good. I remember in the previews, I thought it was about a guy who took stranded people away from civilization and let them run and then go and hunt every one of them. Still, it wasn't that bad. The intro was pretty long, which kind of made me give it a lower rating. Plus, if there was more action with the characters being hunted and killed, that would definitely be really good. Some of the special effects were pretty good. The part where a guy gets his brains blown out looked pretty realistic to me. But nevertheless, I think it was a good movie for foreign horror films.Maybe not the best, but still pretty good. If there was more action and a shorter intro, I'd be thrilled.

Sucked, like a baby's pacifier
17 December 2006
Okay, who came up with this movie anyway? Baby Geniuses??? Why don't they have a movie called "Intelligent Toddlers"? This movie was completely stupid. I hate how they combined actual events, like war in Germany, in this movie's story. Did the writers actually believe this would get better ratings if people saw something from "The Great Escape" in this movie except with babies as prisoners? Maybe they thought people would say, "Awww, how cute. A baby as a prisoner." Rugrats is definitely better than this. And it was just stupid how babies surpass adults in knowledge and intellect while they still crap their diapers and cry. And I forget, wasn't there a bad guy who wanted to take away nap-time? Really stupid. If they're "super babies" then they don't need naps. The writers probably over-exaggerated and thought that they should combine every important element of a genius but still have silly baby characteristics. I wonder if they saw the Justice League and said, "How about the Justice League as babies? Ingenious!" I even remember someone saying they WANTED to see this movie and all I could think was that they had to have been completely dumb. This movie couldn't have been made any worse.

Shouldn't have been made
17 December 2006
This wasn't the best way to make a sequel for this movie. It seemed like they had only wanted to make one to drive popularity, and that's it. The story seemed pretty offset from the original plot of the first movie. It almost seemed as if they tried to make it closer to something like "The Exorcist." A kid gets possessed and that should automatically make it appealing as a horror movie. I think I was scared more from the commercials and previews than from the movie itself. I was very bored watching it and I don't want to watch it again. The story was twisted around so much that it just seemed like it didn't belong as a sequel. This movie shouldn't have been made. :-(

Funny
30 October 2006
This was a pretty funny movie. I remember watching this once when I was bored and the first time I saw it, it seemed extremely low-budget. I remember a girl was supposed to be "turning into a vegetable" or something and it just looked like they layed her naked and put green slime all over her and some midgets came out wearing masks and started to "eat" her, or in this case, scooping the slime off her. Who knows? Maybe they were cleaning her. ;-) The deal with all the food causing people to turn into vegetables was just silly. And a lot of the acting seemed wooden, like it was as if they hadn't rehearsed what-so-ever and showed no emotion in their parts.

I'd watch it again if I was feeling depressed. :-)
