Under the Skin (2013)
Bizarre and worth a watch (once).
Quite a bizarre concept that really had me wondering what was actually happening. Worth a watch, but I wouldn't go back any time soon for a rewatch.
C'era una volta il West (1968)
Only Cinematography Helped Me Rate It High(ish)
Cinematography was wonderfully pieced together. I'm not a big fan of Westerns, but I thought one the highest IMBD ratings I should give a chance.
I rather struggled keeping interest in the plot and there were a couple of scenes too long drawn out. However there were some scenes that were drawn out in a lovely way for the suspense.
How to Talk to Girls at Parties (2017)
A Unique Role For Nicole Kidman
Normally I don't love many of Nicole Kidman's movie roles, but this one...she knocked it out of the park in something uniquely different!
The movie is well worth a watch but go in with an open mind.
A Date for Mad Mary (2016)
Started wonderfully...
(Pre-PS: Simple but quirky review coming up!...)
The Mad Mary ride started wonderfully. Got to understand how lost Mary felt in the world of dating, with a light hearted jovial twist.
Relationships developed and plot points reversed.
But I felt the movie was building up to exciting and warm explosive ending, but if we are talking about a physical bomb here...it fizzled out into a puff of smoke. I felt the finale plot points just got tied up with little excitement. Just a cheap 50c chocolate wrapped up in a pretty bow. Does the job but barely just.
Otherwise I was intrigued for Mary's journey until that fizzle.
