The Ezzera & Gore-Girl Horror Anthology (2023)
Great selection of tales
It's low budget horror but well made. The anthology of stories are well crafted and the wrap around story is intriguing.
It is let down by the acting being wooden at times, it is however bearable. A clever use of sound effects to build atmosphere and tension makes up for lack of more advanced VFX but there is no shortage of gore! The titular characters are a lot of fun. Reminiscent of Elvira there are plenty of Easter Eggs for fans of late night low budget horror. There is also some excellent cinematography and sharp editing.
If you like Tales from the Crypt, The Twilight Zone as well as other similar shows and movies then it is well worth suspending belief and giving it a go.

Boils down to rich men wanting to feel alive
*potential spoilers*
There is a lot to like about the early episodes. Good character development, nice pace and some interesting questions about human motivations. Beautiful cinematography and great sound track.
Unfortunately towards the end this all unravels and it just boils down to rich men wanting to feel alive and exploiting the poor and desperate to do it. The last episode is a massive disappointment. It could have ended well but chose to be commercial and seek a reason for a sequel.
This has certainly been overhyped. If you haven't got to the end yet then watch it through to the penultimate episode and pretend it is the last one. You will be a lot more satisfied.
