The Hat Man: Documented Cases of Pure Evil (2019)
Terrifying, Great re-enactments!
I was waiting for this to come out on prime and it did not disappoint me. The people in the documentary are truly bothered and being terrified by something, after watching and hearing the people's descriptions of it's teeth smiling, to me resembled a reptilian, shape shifter. I don't believe in reptilians but they do mention the hat man to follow or proceed alien abductions.. who knows. They're using fear to feed. It's disgusting and we need to find out what it is and how to help these people. Also if you like this movie, check out ("the nightmare" 2015)
RoboCop (2014)
It's called a remake for a reason!
Well first of id like to say, I saw this today with a good friend of mine whom we both grew up on robocop movies, games and TV shows, and while this is called a remake for a reason, I really enjoyed this! My friend hates remakes. I believe that 9 out of 10 people go into this movie and expect to see robocop and Lois patrol the streets and look for Clarence Thomas but "ITS A REMAKE" it's not the same damn movie and it's not a sequel so don't expect it to be and you won't get butt-hurt! Anyways the whole movie is not about fighting a single villain, it's about establishing Murphy as the first human/robot cyborg policeman in our society and how that will effect the lives of the American people. While trying to get rid of a bill that prevents robotic soldiers to patrol American streets. They do get into a more emotional side of robocop. They try to bring out the essence of a man not a machine, in the original robocop was a man then became a ones sided robot, who had little emotions and felt disconnected from humanity, in this one you get to see the struggle of what it would be like for a man to go through the process of becoming a robot. It's makes him more man then machine. Not just a fighting tub of steel. I'm sure if you're a die hard fan you're going to find something to be closed minded about this movie because you're "too cool" to like a reboot. But I'm not, I enjoy movies for what they are and not for what they're not, and it's not the "original"! So go in this with an open mind and remember no one is gonna think your not cool cause you like a remake. I'm so glad I get to have the chance to see robocop again with modern cgi and fx of today's movies. It was a blast I wish it was filmed in 3D!! I want to see it again!
Skinwalker Ranch (2013)
If you don't know about the "Real Skinwalker Ranch". It's a real place!
I just finished the movie and thought it was excellent. I am a big fan of alien abduction movies and frankly there aren't that many at all. I read some review on here that said it was a rip off of dark skies. Are you kidding? Maybe it seems that way because there are only a handful of these types of movies with alien abduction, Compared to the volume of ghost movies. That's like saying "The Conjuring is a rip- off of "Paranormal Activity". Or saying Dark Skies is a rip off of Signs. Alien abduction films: Signs, The Fourth Kind, Communion, Fire in the sky, Close Encounters. Not a vast selection, I hope I got my point across.
Another thing I don't agree with, saying this is "Amalgam" (Mixture) of paranormal, stuck in one movie. Yes, it might have more than just aliens. If you knew the accounts of the real "Skinwalker Ranch" you would know this is exactly the type of paranormal activity that goes on there, and that's what it is based on. Yes, the "Skinwalker Ranch" is a real Place with witnesses of U.F.O.'s, light orbs and yes other furry creatures. That's exactly why the movie was made because of the extraordinary events that have been documented at the ranch. The ranch is basically a breeding ground of paranormal activity.
Also to comment on user: Miroslav Kostic's quote as saying "It feels like there was no scenario, everything happens chaotically." To this I say, it's a paranormal documentary style horror story. It's supposed to mimic reality. Of course it's going to be chaotic. That reference is bogus. It's not meant to feel like a story but an event that was captured on film. This isn't "Harry Potter and the Skinwalker Ranch. It's a "Found Footage" Docu-Fiction Horror.
I was very surprised by the actors in the film. Usually these low budget movies have bad acting and horrible Computer Graphics. I was surprised with both. The acting was believable and the CGI was very good! I was expecting the syfy channel CGI but this looks as though they didn't lack on funds for the CGI. It makes the film that much more creepy! Loved the movie! It scared the crap out of me in certain scenes. Make sure to pay attention. You might notice something in the background scenes!!! FREAKY. LOL ENJOY GUYS!! I Give It a 6.5
Cloud Atlas (2012)
I really expected better from Tom Hanks. I'm Disappointed.
Before I watched this movie I was very excited. I thought it would be allot better than it was. I thought it was too long. They tried too hard to make it mysterious. After watching the movie I felt nothing. I was expecting to be mesmerized, but instead I was disappointed. It seemed to me like the writers had tried too hard to make it seem mysterious. The overall effect backfired in my opinion. It looks as though they didn't know what they were doing or possibly wrote the script in one day. I suppose with better writers, or writing, it could have been a major hit. Another thing I had a problem with was the character makeup that was used to make them look different. To me it made them look ridiculous. I thought the facial features were over dramatized and looked completely goofy. In turn this made it look unbelievable and was yet another flaw. I decided to watch this movie again to see if I liked it better the second time around, but again I was disappointed. I usually love science fiction movies especially high budget movies like this one. I tried to enjoy the computer graphics and special effects, but the second time around I couldn't finish the movie. I thought this movie was indeed what the title suggests. Cloud Atlas. It was a cloudy view of a world that doesn't make sense. To some people I can see how they can imagine this to be a profound and life-changing story, but I would say the views of that person clearly are unintelligent or need to watch better movies. If you do watch this movie be prepared because it's long and may be confusing for some viewers. I would not recommend this to most people, especially young kids. I would have to give this 4.5 out of 10.
Killing Season (2013)
Who cares who knows more Bosnian history, I enjoyed this movie!
You guys need to back off a little. This is not a documentary on the history channel! This is a Hollywood Movie. Last time I checked there was nothing wrong with changing historical events for entertainment purposes. I thought this movie was excellent. It was exciting, different but I did enjoy it. Especially having De Niro and Travolta. Odd couple but great chemistry. By the way guys remember the movie Inglorious Bastards?? It's historical screenplay wasn't fact but indeed was nothing like what happened during the holocaust but everyone was able to sit back and enjoy it. I recommend you guys do the same, instead of harping over who knows more about Bosnian History.
