Black Adam (2022)
Follows the DC tradition of being predictable and not properly introducing characters
As per "tradition", every DC movie of the past year introduces way too many characters with way too little backstory set against a predictable storyline that features a guy/girl in a cape who is too strong for their own good. Black Adam is no different.
Besides Black Adam, we are introduced to 4 new heroes and their "boss", but after 2 hours I still have no idea who's who and what their relationship is. Some characters seem to be there for emotional context or comic relief, but as they are not properly introduced, they failed to deliver any emotional response from me.
Although the character Black Adam is refreshing in its brutality, his arc and the storyline of the overall movie are boringly predictiable. Take the plot of any superhero movie (especially DC) and you've got the plot of Black Adam. The main cast do a good job at portraying the characters, but the writers and editors seem simply lazy.
Morbius (2022)
High budget doesnt always equal success
The great cast, good dialogues, high budget and decent special effects couldnt save this boring and oredictable movie from disappointing. Wasted opportunity...
The Green Knight (2021)
Don't bother
125 minutes I will never get back. This movie is so desperate to be an artwork that it forgets to have a storyline. It hangs together by random scenes, half of which coupd be skipped.
No Time to Die (2021)
Disappointing
Yet another disappointment to undermine my trust in my favourite movie franchise. To any future Bond director waiting to take over the batton, please stop trying to make it into an emotional drama...
Things Heard & Seen (2021)
Boring
This movie is like your grandfather telling a story. It starts off exciting but soon drags on and forgets what it was actually about. None of the scary bits were actually scary and the "simbolism" was rubbish. The critics that rated this movie as good are prententious (fill in bad word).
Origins: The Journey of Humankind (2017)
The presenter is extremely obnoxious
Stopped watching after episode 1 as I couldnt stand the annoying and over the top way the presenter narrates.
The Haunting of Bly Manor (2020)
Nothing like The Haunting of Hill House
If you expect the same gripping suspense and jumpy scenes that The Haunting of Hill House gave you? This isn't it. Although the cast is mostly the same and still all great actors, the story is scattered and painstakingly slow, what's worse, it'll leave you devising plots and theories about how twisted Blye Manor is, only to end in a sappy dance of disappointment.
What the Health (2017)
Many "facts" are a pick-and-mix of whatever fit
Do 20 min of self-google research (by searching for "what the health facts check") and you'll find that a lot of this movie's big reveals are scewered and biased towards veganism. I'm not saying I disagree with the movie's arguments, but factuality is key in convincing a wider audience. For me personally, What The Health and its director have lost all credibility and undermine any vegan agenda rather than supporting it.
Game of Thrones (2011)
Best series ever until they ruin it all in the last season
Don't bother watching.
7 seasons of beauty, after which the directors took matters in their own hands and decided to ignore any storyline up to that point.
George R. R. Martin's legacy is ruined...
