The Perfect Catch (2017)
More Here Than It Seems

It's not an accident that the film was released near the 70th anniversary of Jackie Robinson breaking the color barrier, that baseball as our former "national pastime" (reliance on traditions) served as its driving metaphor, and the film ended not simply with the Hero and Heroine kissing on the pitcher's mound, but the "red" team and the "blue" team (all too Dodgers blue, of course) came together at home plate to commemorate the-ahem-42nd "Father/Son" Baseball contest. That these factors meshed in the beginning of the Trump Presidency, even if the film probably had already been made before that era officially began, made THE PERFECT CATCH a needed cultural commentary as well.
