What Happens Later (2023)
Is this Purgatory?
Two recently diseased souls find themselves in Purgatory in the embodiment of an airport. X-Files's David Duchovny and You've got Mail's Meg Ryan team up in this hauntingly cryptic tale about the lives we've lived and our ultimate judgement when it's all over.
Throughout the film a higher power is heard speaking to the characters in the film directly. And a chorus is frequently heard whispering frightening moans through the transitions of scenes.
The higher power in the film is portrayed in the form of the airport's public service announcer, who can hear and respond to the only two charecters in the airport. When there are other people in the scene, they do not react or speak to our main protagonists. Infact, Meg Ryans charecter is seen trying to speak to an airline employee who is an unresponsive entity disguised as a human or former soul.
I found this film to be highly effective and hauntingly lonley. At the end of the day this is an extremely bizarre film no matter how you view it.
Space Jam: A New Legacy (2021)
A terrible movie
This isn't about LeBron James being a terrible actor. This isn't about them changing the look of certain charecters. This isn't about Warner Brothers stuffing every single property they own into this film. Space Jam: A New Legacy is simply a terrible movie. It's dry with absolutely no life to it. It feels like the movie was made by a soulless AI.
Jay and Silent Bob Reboot (2019)
Unnecessary
Man, what can I say. This was hard to watch. It really was. Everyday we complain when we see Hollywood destroy one of our favorite films or franchise with an unnecessary lazy thoughtless remake. So how crazy is it that Kevin Smith did all that to his own franchise. When watching the movie you can feel the lack of thought and energy that went into this film. There's nothing more to say.
This is just a personal opinion but Kevin Smith's daughter is just insanely hideous to look at. I have no idea why he thinks that people would want to see her for as long as we have to in this movie.
Midsommar (2019)
2 hours and 30 minutes of nothing
In the entire film there are basically 3 or 4 major scenes. But in order to see them there is 2 hours and 30 minutes of unnecessary filler. I couldn't believe it. Avoid at all costs.
