The Story of Late Night (2021)
An in depth, interesting series ruined by the last episode
5 episodes of history followed by 1 showing why late night is dying. Chelsea Handler literally criticises the interviewer for being a straight, white man. For some reason that is acceptable racism. The current late night hosts are all grovelling to the mob encouraging diversity but interestingly none of them have given up their job? This isn't diversity and inclusion it's quotas and segregation scaremongering. It's not entertaining and it will kill late night. There's a reason why podcasts are more popular. Ironically, even though this isn't what the episode intended to portray, it showed it very vividly and unintentionally shows the evolution of late night. Enjoyable and recommended.
Judy Justice (2021)
A nice refresh. Byrds gone. Get over it.
Judge Judy plus a clerk and stenographer. Stenographer seems pointless as does the clerk although I like her little chat with the clerk after each case.
I think it's a shame Byrds gone but at the end of the day he was dispensable. Judy is the star.
Specifically from a UK perspective it's great to be able to watch new episodes straight away!
Little Women (2019)
Flawless acting
Prior to seeing this movie, the extent of my knowledge of the book was from the TV show Friends. So i didn't know a lot but i love Timothee Chalamet and Saiorse Ronan. Great acting and enjoyable film however i thought the meta narrative. I didn't know (until after) whether this was how the book was written but thought throughout the film that this would be better as a chronological narrative. That said, i am looking at this from a completely ignorant perspective. This is the sole adaption that i have seen and i haven't read the book and i can't fault a shake up on the many previous adaptions. The acting was flawless and i was pleasantly surprised by the actress who plays Emma. I forget her name.
