Last Flag Flying (2017)
Boring
A whole lot of boring. There's just something about spoiled Hollywood actors talking trash about the military that makes me sick to my stomach.
Spenser Confidential (2020)
Horrible
Stop making movies about corrupt cops. Boring, trite, no good.
Blue Bloods: Where the Truth Lies (2020)
Disgusting
Stop having writers who hate cops on this show. Blaming a cop suicide on the cop being blackmailed by a hooker is so disgusting, so trite, so lazy it's unbelievable. CBS is disgusting.
Blue Bloods: Friends in High Places (2019)
Garbage episode
Lazy writers running out of ideas: corrupt patrol officer plants drugs. NYPD v. FDNY.
Then a patrol officer wearing sergeant stripes on ONE arm. A PATROL officer.
Unbelievably stupid.
Joker (2019)
Pretentious and boring
And those are the two best things about this horrible film. It is now the yardstick against which future boring movies will be measured.
Hawaii Five-0: E'ao lu'au a kualima (2019)
Typical
Leave it to the writers to try and garner sympathy for the bank robber who was involved in a heist that killed (2) people and have the decorated veteran feel bad for serving his country with honor. Garbage.
Oklahoma City (2017)
Pretty good.....
Until they quoted the Southern Poverty Law Center the end. Next time, try quoting a legitimate organization. And, much of the footage was rehashed from other documentaries.
Hawaii Five-0: Ikiiki i ka la o Keawalua (2019)
Hypocrisy
Hawaii 5.0 lecturing on racism when (2) of the Asian cast members (primary characters) left the show because they were getting paid less than the white actors.
Blindspot: Check Your Ed (2019)
Writers on a bad trip
Apparently this is the episode you get when the writers have lost their minds.
Blue Bloods: Milestones (2019)
One step forward, two steps back
So they brought back the officer after wrongly firing her (Tom Selleck said in an interview with TV Guide that he felt firing the officer wasn't true to his character), so that's the step forward. But then they show a veteran officer being a coward, a newer officer pulling a gun on a bookie off-duty and getting arrested for it. AND Danny telling that same officer earlier "Leave the thinking to the detectives."
Please, Blue Bloods, find writers who actually know something about cops. Stop making every cop on the NYPD less knowledgeable than any of the Reagans.
This Is Us: Toby (2018)
Hollywood racism, elitism, awful.
Writers really need to get out more and realize that racism isn't just white to black, or white to Hispanic. Racism is present in all races, however today's writers don't seem to understand that. So many things wrong with this episode. Racism is apparently not a problem in NYC, but drive south and hit Baltimore, some backwoods white store clerk doesn't like a mixed couple. Yee-haw. And black people are going to flock to free BBQ, but ignore the fact that their congressman is ignoring their plight. And they had to make sure they got in that Randall's white date's father was a racist. Randall and his family are my favorite characters on this show; they deserve better than this group of writers.
This Is Us: Vietnam (2018)
Dull
Very boring episode. Potential wasted. It doesn't ring true and it looks as if the writers/producers were going for more visuals than storytelling.
Death Wish (2018)
Great movie
You just knew the mainstream media would hate it. Which in and of itself is a reason to love it. But forgetting about the snowflakes, the movie was simply fantastic. No social posturing. The only thing "anti" in it was anti bad guys. Awesome film.
Blue Bloods: Friendship, Love, and Loyalty (2018)
A little better than the last couple
At least the writers got it right when the cops showed their anger toward the political statements by the mayor. However, how come it takes a white detective (Danny, of course) to solve the murder of a black man? In fact, he takes the case away from a black detective who "has a better clearance rate" than Danny. It's very insulting to have Danny swoop in and "solve" the case (especially when the reason it wasn't prosecuted was accurate and if Danny knew his job, would have realized it). So many networks preach about racial equality, yet fail to put it in their shows.
The Blacklist: Pattie Sue Edwards (No. 68) (2018)
End
This episode did it. I can no longer stomach this show. NBC needs to stop pushing their political views on to the people who watch shows for the drama/action. Between the hypocritical actions of Red to the how completely unlikable Elizabeth has become, this series is over for me.
Blue Bloods: Tale of Two Cities (2018)
Another poor one
What's going on with Frank? On this one he lambasts an officer for blowing the whistle on another officer for lying about his actions in the military. Then promotes the guy who lied.
Blue Bloods: Legacy (2018)
Bad one
Frank quotes Lincoln as saying that sometimes you have to take a limb to save the body. The only body part he was saving was his own rear end. Absolutely terrible. They need to add a character who'll tell Frank when he's making a bad decision. In an upcoming episode, he promotes a higher ranking officer despite that officer lying about his military service.
