Judy (II) (2019)

Nailed it!
14 December 2019
Renée Zellweger's performance is by far her BEST acting to date! She totally nailed it in that she puts you right in, pun intended, Judy's shoes. She takes you to the place in what was most definitely not just a child actors heart from that era gone by but for what many child actors have had and still sadly endure. More over this biographical movie shines a light as bright as a beacon on the problems that fame and fortune albeit at the time seem grande fade over time leaving the lasting emotional scars that many have had to try and overcome. I highly recommend this movie and for me to give nine stars speaks in itself since I'm really cheap with those stars!

Uuuugh soooooooo bad!
12 October 2019
I don't even know where to start with this it's so bad. I wanted to give it 0 stars in the hope that they scrap this series before it gets a single episode more.

Even if you put aside the over the top feminism you are left with a boring self pitying overtone, and generally lousy action series. I came to see BatWOMAN not BatMAM!

If you're looking to power nap
25 April 2019
This movie was a huge snore fest. I kept waiting for something... anything really to happen to justify the time spent watching it... that did happen. Even the scenery was bland. Deserts of sand blowing with eroding stone are not my idea of break taking scenery. As for the romanticism that also did not happen. The character building just wasn't there that would make you "feel" passionate about the characters. As a matter of fact I felt contempt for how shallow the characters were.

I gave it a 3 simply because I like Nicole Kidman and I do think her acting was on par but if she wasn't in the movie it would be the only zero I've ever given.

Rookie Blue (2010–2015)

Nice eye candy and easy going
30 July 2010
Yup, it's totally unrealistic and I'm sure if you were a member of the force you'd probably be shaking your head for all the gaffs but all in all it's still enjoyable to watch. The cast is young and beautiful. It's clean which is kinda refreshing. What I mean to say it's not so in your face violent which honestly does nothing when you want to just unwind or relax. I guess if I had to label it I'd say it's almost a chic-cop-flic as it so mellow and has a bit of romance going on.

Someone said it wouldn't be renewed fro a second season .. nah ah, it's renewed. see: http://www.tv-eh.com/2010/07/12/rookie-blue-renewed-for-season-two/

Hell Ride (2008)
7/10
Everyone missed this! Quentin is genius! **SPOILER**
27 August 2008
Warning: Spoilers
I can't believe the reviewers and naysayers for this movie. Yes, it's violent, yes it has gratuitous sex throughout but it's HELL! That's why they call it Hell Ride and Larry Bishop is the devil! Did you not notice how he looks? yes, just like how we depict Satan with the beard and his "Pres" patch. Notice how there is no people, the scenes are devoid of anyone but the bikers and the chicks? That's because everyone there is BAD including the women that are more than willing to have sex. Bikes, Booze and broads! One huge tipoff comes when Nada tells Larry she's the messenger of misery and she says if you don't f-- me right now you are going to hell and Larry say's "Baby, I'm already in hell apparently I made a reservation this morning.

Some reviewers were so stupid and missed all this. One reviewer wrote how he couldn't figure out why Cheroke's son looked like he was 20 when after 32 years he should be at least 40 and why Billy Wings only looked 40 when he should look 5x at least. Well, hello .. it's because they're all dead ( this is the age they died at!) and now they're seeking justice for what happened in life before they died -- Hell style and Comanche is riding on the "left hand side" where Satan wants him.

One last thing to think about. The three keys to open the box and what was in the box? Wy would you even need keys? After all you could just shoot the lock right? Well not if it's "special box" so I'm thinking .. "souls". In the end Larry says to Comanche: "I think I'm gonna call you son from now on, cuz sonny's eating way too much f'n time" Meaning, yer on yer own now and you are the son of Satan.

I also enjoyed this movie for another reason as well since it reminded me of the Sergio Leone spaghetti westerns of yesteryear. If you like those spaghetti westerns you will love Hell Ride and hat's off to Quentin Taranteno for making the reviewers look like the dummies they are.

Pointless
2 March 2007
Lots of killing, bad acting and terrible camera work. I lost count how many people got whacked in this flick after the first 3. At the end of this movie you will probably think "pointless" sums up this movie in a nutshell. I really couldn't find anything redeeming to make this movie worthwhile, even the plot stunk as it was way too easy to make the so called hits. Not even a total idiot would believe how easy it would be to find police protected witnesses or mob bosses. You know the least they could have done is find some good looking women or play some good theme music to make up for losing an hour and a half of your life watching it. I guess you could use this movie as a guideline of "what not to do while making a movie.

Kinsey (2004)
1/10
Boycott this Movie! sugarcoats pedophilia.
30 December 2004
This movie masks the truths and horrors about this man's activities. I did a fair bit of research on this so called scientist and learn some of the REAL details. I was bitterly disappointed that the the movie portrayed him to be some kind of sexual hero when in truth he was nothing more than a pervert who used his pseudo scientific work to justify his own behavior. First of all it was directed by a gay activist who I'm sure was bent on showing how society has hidden behind moral values to isolate and demonize homosexual behavior. Although this is true, using this man's work to shed new light and understanding on the gay community is sort of like dressing a wolf in sheep's clothing. Here's some facts I have uncovered:

Kinsey relied on consultants -- in the form of pedophiles -- to gather added information on the sexual responses of children. One of these men was a notorious child-molester named Rex King, who was responsible for the rape of over eight-hundred children. This predator related to Kinsey numerous stories about his child rape in graphic detail, information that Kinsey considered to be merely "scientific research."

Kinsey's perversion started early. He became a scoutmaster at the age of seventeen, and in 1921, in a letter he wrote to a fellow YMCA counselor, boasted of a "nature library" that he possessed. This collection comprised nudist magazines that contained pictures and drawings of nude men and boys, and Kinsey would show them to his young male charges in his tent -- alone -- late at night.

As a professor at the University of Indiana, he took long camping trips with young male students. During these excursions Kinsey would parade around nude in front of the young men, bath with them and, according to the wife of one of the students, take advantage of them during group masturbation sessions.

Kinsey maintained a collection of "gorgeous" homosexual male photographs, and forced members of his staff to engage in various forms of sexual activity, ostensibly for the purposes of breaking down moral barriers against such behavior.

Kinsey conducted research that supposedly demonstrated that young boys -- as young as two months of age -- could experience multiple orgasms. He claimed that the maximum number observed in a twenty-four hour period was 26 climaxes . . . in a thirteen-year-old and a four-year-old. It took forty years for anyone to wonder how data is collected on the sexual responses of children as young as five."

You don't have to wonder for long, however. Dr. Judith Reisman, who has been a longtime Kinsey critic, received the answer from an actual member of the Kinsey team. This accessory, named Paul Gebhard, stated that Kinsey's men used "manual and oral techniques" to produce the desired effect.

There are numerous other facts and the more you uncover the more you realize this man was nothing more than a demon. I strongly urge you do NOT watch this movie which supports a group of people interested in nothing more than decriminalizing child molestation.

I'm sadly disappointed Steven Speilsburb would have ANYTHING to do with this movie.

Joe
