Sisanje (2010)
Couldn't take it seriously but was very entertaining
OK I'm guessing that in Serbia this film is quite intense and serious but i'm from England and the English dubbing/voice acting that came with the DVD was very very bad to say the least. It didn't suit the characters or what they were saying to the point it became very funny. Imagine a really intense skinhead film with strong graphic violence with a load of cockney cab drivers doing the voice acting? Very funny. For a low budget film though it has got everything a Neo-Nazi film should have it has good character development, strong violence and an enjoyable plot.. Looking past the dubbing it looked really serious which i'm guessing only a Serbian would find thrilling but in my opinion it was just funny but it entertained me enough to watch until the end.
No Country for Old Men (2007)
awesome build up then.. Noooooooo!
One of the most amazing, thrilling and captivating film I have ever seen or likely to see again with such perfection. The actors are brilliant and play their parts perfectly and the main bad guy plays a very convincing sociopath but after it got to 1 hour 33 minuets and 6 seconds into the film it shocked me and I was like ''WTF! No way :/.. That shouldn't of happened!?'' That plot turn was a massive let down for me as I was enjoying this film so much and couldn't wait for lou-ellen (Sorry don't know how to spell the names) and surgor to finally meet and have a massive stand off against each over where one of them gets owned. It would have made an amazing ending. I bet at least 80% of the people who enjoyed this film are thinking the same thing. I felt that it was a really exciting and intense build up throughout the whole film for it to be un- excpectadly ended 'off camera' then another 25 minuets of pure confusion and disappointment. I was hoping there was an alternate ending on the DVD but no joy. This is why I only give it a 7/10. This film lost 3 points for letting itself down with a stupid ending. I know it was based on a book but the directors should have changed the story line to make it better suited for a film.. or at least filmed an alternative ending. All in all the sort of film id watch again and again but only to be disappointed at 1 hour 33 minuets and 6 seconds each time.
An American Haunting (2005)
Terrifyingly rubbish
This film is way over the top, cheesy and anything but scary. I even watched this all by myself in my flat in the dark.. The dialogue is rubbish with a withering plot. This silly excuse of a teacher (someone that is supposed to be smart) has witnessed all these paranormal things happening with Betsy throughout the film, Is still convinced its all her nightmares, That is ridiculous how can someone be so stupid? Especially in the scene just after Betsy has some sort of demon trying to possess her which they all see, Then in the next scene all the adults are downstairs including the teacher talking amongst themselves about 'whats happening' The father says ''there's something evil in this house'' A cross flies off the wall in perfect view at the fathers general direction, A gust of wind blows out all the candles and the fire in the fire place and the teacher guy says ''Betsy, is that you?'' This stupidity made me laugh and really angry at the same time because I was wasting my life watching this utter drain contents. Yeah because she is invisible and blowing out the candles!? I watched it all the way through and thinking to myself this is one of the worst ghost films I have ever seen. Definitely going to avoid watching this again in my life. Avoid this if you want a scary, or at least mildly creepy film.
Mrs. Brown's Boys (2011)
Poor
I have been surfing on IMDb for a good few years now and had never made an account up to review stuff until watching this.. this.. disgrace! I can't believe this had got commissioned as a TV show its just shockingly bad. I have a really good and varied taste in comedy as I mostly only watch comedy shows/sitcoms but I sat there through two whole episodes just astonished of how bad it was. The script seemed like it was written by a simpleton.. literally. The jokes aren't funny, the storyline (If you could call it that) was vague and boring, This Brendan O'Carroll is not funny in the slightest and just made me cringe.. none of them can act in this balls up of a show. I wasted an hour of my life watching this it is a disgrace to British comedy, BIG TIME!
