How could you people give this bad reviews? In a world filled with beige romcoms, with the SAME gags over and over it was refreshing to see a movie more dialog driven. It could have been a play. It was amusing, quick witted, and haven't seen it a million times. The actors were GREAT, Sammy character was very believable and never once did I feel he was acting. Chloe Bennett as always is ethereal to watch...can't take your eyes off her. The others were all very good as well, and there was decent chemistry between them all. If you think this was bad, perhaps you should go watch a lifetime movie instead. Unless you're brain dead, you'll find this enjoyable. Ssssssssss.

Just finished second episode and I must say to Steven soderberg WHAT THE HELL WERE YOU THINKING
It was obvious they were after YOUR kid, did you warn your son so he could be alert to danger? It's hard for any rational person to get past the NOT calling the cops the second your son was found safe... but even then, let's pretend we get Past that, they know someone knew grandpas credit limit so it was someone close, maybe even an inside job, regardless of what total bs led the kid to NOT be grabbed.. so WHY would your ever send him out of town alone with a STRANGER? Why? Who wrote this crap? It's an insult to anyone watching.. you could have spent 30 more minutes and come up with a feasible plot line.

First I would like to say the movie Babylon is one of the best I've seen in a very very long time. It's one you have to see and what's more one that explores so much more than what's on the surface. The whole plastic world of Hollywood and the losing battle we call fame. In the movie Jean smarts speech at the two hour five min mark is EXACTLY what I've been TRYING to explain forever..To get the chance to live forever with angels and ghosts.. it was BRILLIANT.. she was superb. The speech was magical and onenof the most true things I've ever heard verbalized regarding anyone who has ever stepped on a stage or picked up a pen, sung a song.. put a piece of themself out there with the hope of being liked, and the secret desire to be immortal..
Toby McGuire it seems, has learned a little about THAT, and was given a second chance in THIS very movie.. and if you're a person who has ever stepped one foot over the line of sanity and safety and found yourself surrounded with terrifying people in a sketchy situation only to live to tell the tale.. you yourself a little addicted to the adrenaline and sickness that comes with the dark, you will understand his character. Kudos to the director because he really went for it. The scenes were some of the most disturbing I've seen.. maybe ever or at least since 1934's banned FREAKS, but at the same time couldn't stop watching, because like so many of you, I too kept one foot over the line of sanity for decades. It makes you appreciate the mundane so much more when you flirt occasionally with the insane. You just can't live there, and I suggest you have a great partner to pull you back from that edge else you tumble over.
Brad Pitt finally gets it, he finally understands the game, and there is something so sad when you know he realizes that he did 82 pictures and he thought they mattered, only to find out they all meant nothing but more money for people who would never understand anything but the endless cycle of replacing the old with newer exact models, shinier faces and regurgitated stories. Then there is Margot Robbie. She is a revelation. She became the broken Frances farmer character who had the chops but never got a break because she refused to play their game. You could feel her heat and her pride and her pain with every frame she was in. God knows she had a long list of role models to choose from.. from Paulette Goddard, Ms. Farmer, to the Bombshell Jayne Mansfield who lost her head for Hollywood... A masterpiece of a movie.. and I don't give that praise lightly or often. Left me thinking about it long after it had finished.. for many reasons.

Let me just say that from the first minute this movie.grabbed my attention and held it. It was done in a great way, in short bits like adrenaline hits. Kevin bacon and drea are really good as low life scumbags but the real shining light here is machine gun Kelly. I've said it before, ever since roadies, the boy can ACT. Hands down. He is very talented and was handed a hard role and he pulled it off effortlessly and with an amazing talent level. If you actually put your phone down and PAY ATTENTION you will see that this is actually a really good movie.
You won't be disappointed if you were a fan of sopranos or city on te hill or roadies give it a shot.

First off, the premise is idiotic. These kids don't need to save the school, they already are Rick stars and master counterfeiting pros, and the best hackers ever. They know how to run minting machines and defeat security cameras. They can steal cars and fix them and apparently there's nothing they can't do. So why worry about saving a school? They already know everything there is to know about everything.
It was the US MINT people COME OFF OF IT! There are a million heist scenarios how about choosing one that is even remotely possible.. I mean sure it's a movie but do the makers think everyone is stupid? It's an insult to anyone above the age of three who likes movies.
And the end? Come ON! Sure, they destroyed 60 MILLION in extra coins. And how did the teacher put it together? He never saw them at the mint... Is owning a toolbox full of quarters illegal? Would you assume four kids pulled off an impossible heist? Or robbed a soda machine? Everything about this movie made me want to never watch tv again.

This movie is mislabeled someone labeled it as ENTERTAINING. It was one of those movies where the director had no balls, he fell short on the few jokes for fear of being offensive, he fell short on any sort of plot, he fell short on using the great cast to his advantage. This was not even in the same realm as gemstones. It wasn't funny or sad or emotional in any way. It was NOTHING. It was background noise.
It began slow and was followed by nothing happening, winding you up for the big ending that never came. A documentary about paper would have been more entertaining. Prime should send me money for not turning the channel.
I couldn't give it less than one star or I would have.

First off if the dad was a DA he would know to not throw away the knife he would have know. To test it for dna he did the worst possible thing, THEN, why didn't he ask the obvious, HIW DID YOU GET MY KIDS FINGERPRINTS? They aren't on file so HOW? What lawyer or father would t ask THAT? He was suspended from his job which means he was no longer acting DA, so he could have represented his son. I am SO tired of these shows where they just assume the viewer is a Moron. Ignorant of the laws. Just plain dumb.
The acting is good though even though I keep waiting for maddy from good behaviors character to pop out and come up with a plan to get the kid out of it. This could have been good with a little less assumption on the writers part.

Whoever gave bad reviews obviously didn't give it more than five minutes. I apologize if any spoilers slip out. Stanley tucci as usual is excellent. This is like Sherlock Holmes if he was a death row inmate. Kind of a Hannibal lector thing except the guy isn't really dangerous or (I think) guilty. This would make a fantastic series. I can't figure out why others saw this and thought it wasn't good. The entire cast was excellent. The plot was solid and the mystery was soooo good.. if you liked murder she wrote or any of the other similar shows where the hero solves crimes in an almost supernatural fashion, than this is for you.
I found it very entertaining and found myself wishing it was a series.

Other than the fact the acting is so, Soooooo bad. It is a standard formula Netflix product, they only have two or three. If they could have figured a way to give one or all of them superpowers it would have qualified for formula two. The soundtrack, thoughts and prayers by filter was perfect, it sounds like someone's in pain, and they were correct, the viewer by this point IS in pain. The acting wavers from robotic and weirdly stiff, to WAAAAAY over the top. We've seen all of the cast so much better work so we know it's not their fault. On paper this probably looked like Patterson along came a spider, it just didn't translate with its low budget and poor direction.

This is a fantastic movie if you are in the mood to take a nap, go play a game, visit friends, read a book, or do just about anything besides watch a movie or be entertained. It made no sense, the plot was idiotic and slower than you can imagine. Made me sorry I spoke English or had eyesight.. The money used should have been spent on a worthy charity. I give a lot of leeway to slow movies and am more patient than most... but it never materialized into ANYTHING.. I usually can wait until something happens or a deeper point emerges and I waited and waited and it never happened . An anticlimactic movie with no plot at all. No story. Just big name actors with no material to work with.

Jessica was excellent and Jim was exactly Jim, but the movie fell short. It had nearly zero character buildup, it went from youth to old age with basically nothing happening. It touched on the charity and until the one blowup they have you never had an inkling there were any issues at all. The entire movie was like watching a very long preview for a movie. I can't explain it but just watched a movie that seemed like an ad for a movie. It never provided any details on the buildup or the downfall. One day they were newly married the next they were rich and famous celebrities and the next disgraced jokes. The writers tried too hard to encompass an entire lifetime into 90 minutes when it would have been better off to pick a timeframe and make the viewer care. I dont know anything now I didn't before watching this and what's more, I don't care. You're better off watching the bio on YouTube if you want to know more or feel anything. Save the common core version for those with no attention span or respect for history. They took two iconic, fascinating people and bleached their story to the point you literally find yourself researching them on YouTube or checking email before it's half over.

This is textbook reasons why you should NEVER go into the woods with a bunch of wokemilennial baby's.
I am not one of those couch potato morons who yell at the tv saying how easy it all is.. it's hard to bushcraft.. but when you don't know enough to not wear dress socks to the jungle you have no business being in the jungle. My question is this... after the first bad experience on the raft, Marcus feet were ok so WHY didn't they all just proceed on the original journey? The only reason for the raft at all was because the one guy couldn't walk... Mistakes were made that were obvious to the ordinary weekend camper.. like for example, they all the day before looked at a map that showed the river and unless they are blind they would have at least noted where the river led and which direction to nearest town. Daniel over acted or the director gave poor instruction, because in a few scenes you found yourself saying "just shut up already", or thinking why would you destroy your own possessions?
I dislike survival movies where I am rooting for Mother Nature., but if this is indeed a true story, nobody deserved to fail more than this guy.. he let the fire go out, choosing instead to scream and cry, again.. then failed to run out into the stream where the plane could see him, remaining hidden in the woods, screaming and crying.. Then, the quicksand... I laughed at that.. I wouldn't let this guy water my plants if I had to go away that's how much faith I have in him.
Then his friends hire a boat and drive upstream for nineteen days and get out, don't yell or make a sound, look around a few min, step OVER his big yellow backpack.. and leave.. meanwhile idiot wakes up and also keeps his location secret.. when they DO find him, apparently by telepathy or witchcraft, you hope the rescue boat crashes on the rocks.

This show was heads and shoulders above the rest. If you like music and grew up In the age of great minds, great bands, a time when rock and roll and souls and funk and folk all ruled and a record deal meant you'd made it. Really made it, through hard work and hard times.. in 77 if you earned a record and radio play prime time you can be sure whoever it was had earned the right..
If you get that you will love this show and be equally upset that HBO, like so many others, failed to market a GREAT show, letting it fall into obscurity, unknown by many, while kardashians celebrate 22 seasons.. it's a sad thing HBO did, but they all are guilty.

It's as if someone tried to take pink flamingos and turn it into a movie about meth. There were some scenes directly taken from it like the fat mom and the food.. (eggs Babs), anyway if you've never seen pink flamingos I'm sure you'll love this. If you have you'll spend the whole time comparing it... however the actors were great and too many cameos to mention. Including Dr Giggles as "the vet".
Pre surgery Mickey rourke and the ever amazing Brittany Murphy shine but all the characters are superbly done. Leguizamo is outstanding as the dealer.
Definitely has a dark, sad side when you think there are people who really live like this.

Did we see the same movie? Some of the best acting I've seen from an entire cast, in a long, long time.
Cahill is not a statue for a change, Ben Kingsley is himself, but the rest, omg.. The plot is average but more than makes up for it with the performances.
When the guy gets his baby back and we don't know if it's alive or dead (watch and see) and the look on his face is perfect for what's happening. (Watch the movie) lol.

A typical Netflix production. If you somehow are actually able to find anything on Netflix not about magic powers or girl power, or in English, it's usually this calibre. Netflix needs to start paying real writers and firing whoever green lights and directs their endless stream of blechhhhhh. Or start going free.. even tubi has better programming. They couldn't even use real coverage of Ariel Daytona? Come on man!

It's "ok" at best but certainly nothing to rave about. It is rife with goofs, example, in 1987 the computers seen on police desks didn't exist yet. The crt 256 color screens shown did not come out until early 90's.. the acting was good but the story is one that's been done to death. If you don't mind reading a show, because it's seemingly IMPOSSIBLE for Netflix to come up with any of their OWN ideas, instead buying shows already rejected in other countries for a few Penny's. They need some writers over there because we are tired of 7 of 10 releases being Bosnian or German or Serbian.
Anyway kleo is an ok watch but certainly nothing to rave about or compare to tarantino.

I love movies like this but this seems like it was written by a 12 yr old. They just happen to find clue after clue on the first try. The bad guys also seem to have superhuman tracking abilities. The actors were good, as usual, which is a testament to their professionalism. It must have been hard to act this dross with a straight face. If you're looking to waste two hours and be mildly amused it's a good choice. If you're looking for raiders or fools gold you will be annoyed.

Ed burns movies are not about action they are about the characters. Go watch she's the one.
It was passable and despite other reviewers the soundtrack was quintessential early 80's pop, however there were a few glaring errors. The movie takes place in 1982, Duran Duran hungry like the wolf didn't exist yet nor did the phrase hook up or home slice to name a few. We should have heard the cars and reo speed wagon and foreigner and blondie and the pretenders Mr burns perhaps has forgotten 1982 but the viewers haven't. It felt more like an 80's themed party from 2001
The actors did miss the mark a little with connecting with the era but overall was enjoyable. Burns is a storyteller if you're looking for sex and action and explosions this isnt for you. If you want to be entertained and forget for 90 min it's a good choice.

By the time I saw half the first episode I was hoping she would stop breathing. The lack of common sense made me root for nature. I am afraid this is remarkably close to what would happen If a pampered twenty something was stranded these days and it makes me sick, angry, and sad for us as a race. Throw the wet lighter away, don't wait for it to dry! Build a raft a mile from the edge of the water, sure, that makes sense.. don't take off your heavy leather boots before swimming and do t you dare take the warm coat off the DEAD GUY.

Good cast, characters were enjoyable but sadly, like all shondaland productions, the writers make drama where there would be none in ANY real world scenario, and the law research was laughable. In New York there is NO bail for non violent crimes, and even in 2018 we had bail bondsmen who could post the balance so they only needed ten grand to get Rodney out of jail.
Things like this are annoying. Otherwise it's a good show that's mostly just enjoyable to watch.
