Travelers (2016)
One of the best shows ever made.
There aren't many shows/movies that keep me on the edge of my seat like Travelers. The plot twists and writing are unlike anything else. It reminds me of the way I felt about LOST in the early days (probably because it's some of the same writers) but the time-travel aspect feels less make-believe than magical smoke monsters and invisible islands. The character development is top-notch and I'd say more but I don't believe in spoilers. It's one of the most brilliant shows ever made. Plan on rewatching it until the new season comes out.
Pine Gap (2018)
Very compelling
Anyone who rated this less than a 7 or 8 probably doesn't like cinema that makes them listen or pay attention completely. It doesn't spell anything out for you so you have to focus (aka put down your phone) but I think that makes for good television. There were a couple Australian colloquialism that I paused to google, but that's fun! The mystery was addicting and the character development was slow-moving but delivered in the end of the season. I enjoyed it.
