Sonic the Hedgehog (2020)
Why all the hate?
I grew up on sonic. It's a kids movie, my kids loved it. I enjoyed it. There's way worse movies out there. We're excited for the second one. I don't get all the hate? I really like how everything came together at the end to build their world.
My only complain is same complaint I have about a number kid targeted movies. Why include swearing at all? It's so easy to not have bad language. I'm not even conservative... we swear like a salor, just not around kids. It's just 100% completely unnessary for the movie.
Still love this movie though.
Half-Shell Heroes: Blast to the Past (2015)
Clearly some folks didn't realize this was targeted at a younger crowd.
Half-shell heroes is targeted at toddler to elementry school kids. With that in mind. I thought this was fantastic. My kids have watched this thousands of times. I was hoping there was more, but there aren't.
Dragonball Evolution (2009)
When people ask for proof God doesn't exist, I direct them to this movie
Were there a God I'd like to think he wouldn't make people this dumb.
This just the absolute worst movie ever made and I'm still pissed off about it 10 years later.
The only movie worse than this is Transformers the last knight.
I can't believe I can't rate this a 0.
What's funny is the people that rated this 2-6 also hatred it they're just too nice to give it what it deserves. I clicked to read into the reviews cause I couldn't understand why anyone would rate this higher than the lowest possible rating.
I doubt anyone even watched one episode as over half the names are pronounced incorrectly.
I agree with folks saying you don't have to be a dbz fan to hate this movie. Fan or no fan, this was a terrible movie.
The Predator (2018)
+1 Batman and Robin of the Predator franchise
Predator fan here, but trying to stay objective. But first, IMO you can't ignore the tone of a franchise. Imagine if the second lord of the rings was a comedy or the next aliens movie was all about romance. You could get away with that if you're doing a reboot, however this is not the case here. I am not familiar with the director and wasn't expecting an action comedy. It would have worked better as men in black 3, predators swapped with other aliens.
So previous movies aside, if you look at just this movie there's a lot that just doesn't make sense. How does the doctor lady go from scientist to apparently combat trained? How would a kid translate an alien language at all especially with a virtually pictureless interface that has extremely different ux, oh and that's in a matter of days, when he's not in school or in bed. Where did they get the seemingly endless arsenal from? How did the vicious tracking dog all the sudden become domesticated? Why not just drop the stuff the preds are looking for and get your kid out of there, how would one be smart enough to translate an alien language and be too dumb to figure that out? Why the hell does a predator killed exist, if we were going to invade another planet and there were anti activists, would they make a human killer? So the predator landed in south America, and his ship happened to coincidentally land some where near the main characters home close enough to fly a news helicopter to, undetected. Do the predators use the same coordinate system of latitude and longitude that we do, I guess on top of translating their language, in his free time in the afternoons, he also figured that out as well, and happened to know enough geology to make use of it because he just got a box from his dad, wasn't even aware there was a ship to look for until Halloween when he put the mask on.
I could on... But you get the point.
One little thing here or there, no big deal, tons everywere makes it hard to tolerate. If this was men in black I probably wouldn't even given it a second thought. I don't need things to be realistic, I just need them to be plausibly explainable in the world they are in.
For what it's worth, it's still better than transformers the last knight... The only reason it gets a two.
Wallykazam! (2014)
One of the best shows for toddlers
This is a great show. We love Bobgoblin! As a parent, I like how imaginative it is. I enjoyed the flying sandals and pizza eating puppets. I love how they put different words together; sometimes they rhyme other times they might be synonyms. I can't believe anyone would give this show a bad review. My son is only 15 months and loves it. This, along with bubble guppies, are the only shows he'll watch. Even my 7yr old daughter loves watching it with him. My wife and I can't wait for the toys! I think Nick has nailed it with Wallykazam, Bubble Guppies, and Paw Patrol. I really wish there were more shows of this quality. Disney is way behind in my opinion.
