Yamla Pagla Deewana Phir Se... (2018)
A Family Entertainer - Decent and clean comedy
I did not very high expectation though trailer looked promising to me. I was pleasantly surprised once I was in theater because It is actually a good movie. Everyone has done justice to their roles and special appearances of actors like Asrani and Shatrughan Sinha is lovely. It is a family entertainer and you can certainly give it a try at this weekend.
Don't believe on negative reviews about the movie. Go and watch it.
Ghayal Once Again (2016)
Sunny Deol still has that screen presence and Charisma....
He is at the age of 59 and still he has the charisma and screen presence that may outshine any of younger generation superstars. Sunny Deol has the kind of persona that makes all action scenes believable that he does.. Movie should be applauded for it's action sequences which are beautifully designed and are much different than south movies kind of action sequences that we get to watch in almost every Bollywood movies nowadays.
To be very honest screenplay should have been better. Editing could have been more sharp and there should have been some more good dialogues. I really missed dialogues in this one...
What is good about movie: 2 people- Sunny Deol and Narender Jha. Though Narender Jha is no where close to Amrish Puri but in his every scene he has come out to look great. Watching Sunny Deol is still a treat. He is simply best suited for action.
It is sad that actors like Sunny Deol are underutilized in our film industry and we don't appreciate him the way Hollywood appreciate Sylvster Stallon.
People say he does similar kind of movies... So what?? There are many actors in the world who throughout their lives have done similar kind of roles only and they have been respected for that....we can applaud foreigners for similar movies and roles but we won't applaud our Desi hero for his efforts ....Sad... Go and watch this movie. There is still no one who can do action like Sunny Deol because he is the Sunny Deol...
Singh Saab the Great (2013)
Nice movie...A Must Watch for those who love raw action. Sunny is simply Outstanding
Sunny Deol has always been my favorite actor when it comes to action. I don't think there is any other actor in Bollywood who can execute action sequences with as much intensity as Sunny does it and whatever action he does he pulls it off so convincingly that you don't have even fraction of doubt about it.
Unfortunately his last couple of movies hadn't been successful, probably because taste of audiences changed in last couple of years specially in metros (though on single screens people still die to watch his actions).
I genuinely feel Sunny is one of the most underutilized actors in Bollywood and whenever directors like Santoshi,Anil Sharma or JD dutta utilized him fullest he has come up with performances which can be matched bu none. none means none. I can't recall a single confrontation scene in any other actor's movies which has so much intensity as it has in Ghatak when Sunny says "Utha Utha Patkunga,Utha Utha Patkunga, Halak me hath dal ke Kaleja kheech lunga Haramkhor". I have watched Ghatak so many times but let me tell you I still feel enthralled when I watch this scene in Ghatak. It is the best fight scenes I have ever watched in a movie and I can bet no one else can do it that way.
Coming back to SSTG, I found it entertaining from beginning to end with some very nicely choreographed and done action scenes. My favorite action sequence has been the one just before the lunch where Sunny lifts and throws Prakash Raj in to the fire. Oh my God... I have never seen this kind of scene at least in last 10 years in any movie. And when Sunny does it you don't find it over the top becoz you know he really can do that. It really deserves big clapping and whistles from audiences.
Direction is good which could have been better and screenplay could have been made bit more meaty but Sunny's performance covers it up. Watch it if you like raw and real action. Watch it if you believe that roaring is one of the natural attributes of anger and there is nothing ridicules about it. and last but not the least watch it for the man whose Dhai Kilo ka Hath has become 5 kilo ka hath now.
Giving it 9 out of 10 for one and only Sunny Deol.
