Ragnarok (2020)
A desperate desire to subvert expectations ruins the finale
I really enjoyed most of this series, but everything and I mean everything becomes meaningless due to the ending.
The series feel clunky at times and the acting isn't exactly stellar all the time, but it works... until the damn ending.
Because, even though this is advertised and told as a mythology / good vs. Evil story, it isn't ... this is basically "Normal Again" from Buffy, but instead of being one episode it is 18, with the reserve outcome!
Not only is it one of the lamest trobes out there, it makes no sense with everything else that happens in the show.
I would honestly recommend anyone watching this to just skip the final episode and accept a slightly bland ending instead of a absolute terrible one.
Army of the Dead (2021)
A discombobulated mess
From the plot to the characters to the dialog, this thing is a bloody mess.
Tian Guan Ci Fu (2020)
Bland in almost every way
The artwork is beautiful, but that is the only positive thing I can say about it.
The story is so boring, the characters are shallow and everything moves so slowly that I literally fell asleep more then once.
The Witcher (2019)
I was entertained, but also a little let down
Compared to a lot of fantasy series, this one was above average, but still felt like it missed the mark a bit.
The whole timejumping back and forth didn't work for me and made the story less engaging. A lot of the plot felt like scenes had been cut here or there, which made the more exposition heavy sections (the bard even makes a 4th wall joke about this) feel clunky.
I still watched the series in one day and I did enjoy most of it. Just for the love of all that is unholy hire a better CGI team for next seasons dragon!!!
V-Wars (2019)
Good start with a sharp decline
I really liked the first few episodes, the world building and exposition seemed a bit forced but not too flagrant.
Then around episode 3 or 4 it felt like the collective IQ of everyone in the show dropped by 20 points and the story went all over the place. I gave up halfway through episode 6 I just couldnt watch anymore ...
Paradise PD (2018)
I think this is literally the least funny show I have ever seen
It is just terrible, 90% of the jokes are so predictable I could say the punchline word for word before they happened.
Just don't waste your time on this garbage ...
Bright (2017)
Who greenit that script?
Ten toddlers with a bucket of paint would make less of a mess then this movie.
Neat idea but horrible execution.
Van Helsing (2016)
A deacent story dragged down by horrible script
I ended up watching all of season 1 because I saw some potential and I found several of the characters interesting.
However it quickly turns into "oh noes he was a traitor as well I'm so very shocked"
The only character I linked throughout was Sam and even his plot was a bit to obvious.
