Interesting concept, poor execution
17 December 2014
When I first heard of this movie, I was very intrigued by the idea and the cast. But I wasn't ready for the disappointment, that I was going to meet. The (poorly written) jokes almost never hit, which is the worst thing, that can happen for a comedy of this kind. The cast did, what they could do with the material, but it just wasn't enough. The awkward scenes between Robinson and Kendrick was just that: awkward. Not funny. And that is a shame, because these are actors, who normally make laugh pretty hard. The highpoint of the movie for me, was Rob Cordry and John Michael Higgins, who stood for a couple of laughs each. 2 stars for the cast, and 2 stars for the concept, is all that I can give.

I cried like a little girl
20 June 2013
I've now spent the last three days watching three episodes of "Being Human" per day, and I'm hooked. I think that every episode so far has been good or great but this one was just... wow.

If Sam Witwer does not become a great star in either a more popular TV- show or in movies I will tear my own genitals off. He acts the s**t out of his character, and even though both Rath and Huntington does good jobs as Josh and Sally, Aidan is just the show-stealer.

And this episode is just another demonstration of that. I will not spoil anything, but as the headline suggests, this is a heartbreaking one. The only negative thing I can say is that I maybe wanted a bit more bromance between Josh and Aidan at the end of the episode, bit I'll let it slide. If this show does not get MUCH worse during the next two seasons then there is no way on earth that I will ever understand why it only has a 6,8 rating here on IMDb.

In Her Skin (2009)
6/10
Definitely not for everyone
10 April 2013
Warning: Spoilers
Besides being slow paced and at some times poorly directed, In Her Skin made a huge impression on me and I am still shivering. This movie, that I have to admit I only saw because I'm in the process of watching every movie that Guy Pearce has appeared in, both has it flaws and strengths. What made the biggest impression on me, was the acting and how North managed to make a movie about a brutal killing where the murderer is as much a victim as the killed girl. Miranda Otto, Sam Neill, Ruth Bradley and Guy Pearce all do a great job. Maybe a bit of overacting here and there, and I blame the director for that. If this movie had been a success box office-wise, I am convinced that Ruth Bradley had been a name that we all would recognize. I was about to give the movie a 7/10 rating. But then when i listened to the songs by John Butler Trio that are used as the soundtrack of the movie, I decided that the usage of them is the films greatest strength. The final judgment is that In Her Skin is a movie that far from everyone would enjoy, but the people who will enjoy it will also be grabbed by it and be left with a hollow feeling and a reminder that the world at times is a brutal and unfair place.

Chuck: Chuck Versus the American Hero (2010)
Season 3, Episode 12
10/10
The Fall of a Hero
7 January 2013
This episode is the symbol of all that I love about "Chuck", and it had me glued to the screen from start to finish.

The episodes starts off with some of Chuck's wonderful awkwardness as he is at the headquarters in DC to meet with the general. Then it switches to his heartbreaking and seemingly impossible mission to get Sarah back. And it ends with a painful cliffhanger. Perfect!

The character development of Shaw was inevitable, but still heartbreaking as my feelings towards him is mixed (I mean, he stole Sarah for Christ's sake!). All in all a very emotional episode that sets off a story line that I am looking much forward to dig in to.
