Inspector Rishi (2024)
Not perfect but good.
It's not perfect but definitely has soul and is a very decent watch.
Cliched yet bold twists keep you on the toes but then some parts feel like you have seen it all way too many times. Same tropes, different story.
Acting is refined and fresh and note worth for all actors involved.
Particularly loved the man vs nature segments but couldn't help but wish that the mythical elements didn't drag as much as made it more interesting, which did not happen after Episode 7.
I would recommend the show even if you are not dazzled as easily.
Good concept but could have been much better.
Enjoy it but don't expect much.

Good film ruined by unnecessary propaganda
Would've loved it way more if the propaganda elements weren't as obvious. The film feels like a project to make the BJP and its infamous leaders into heroes without flaws. Two way this has been done, 1) by turning the current government into a flawless power. 2) by turning everyone else into nothing more than incapable subordinates.
Talking of the film, it's still well made. The story in itself was powerful even without the propaganda.
It was brilliant for the most parts that didn't praise our supreme leader.
Special mention to Yami Gautam for picking up this project and for doing a very good job at acting. Also, there was a serious lacking of emotional element in this film, but still a decent watch.
We Have a Ghost (2023)
40 years too late.
This film is a mix-match of all the family friendly ghost movies of the 80s. The story is also nothing new. You don't connect with the actors or the emotions. Things are just happening randomly. One minute the villain lady is hell bent on catching the ghost and the other, for no apparent reason, she lets him go. Random stuff! And at 2h 7m it's awfully long for a bad film.
The only good thing here is perhaps the starting 30 odd minutes of the film which somehow manages to keep the mystery and comedy balanced. But that's about it.
This film is full of cliches with no apparent reason. I am struggling to point out one good thing about it. Perhaps.just David Harbour.
The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power: Alloyed (2022)
Just brillant.
Words can't express how well this show has come together since it's inception. It started slow but last 3-4 episodes have been absolutely uphill. So far this is my second most favourite episode of the this show so far. The other being episode 6.
Ignore all the bad reviews and enjoy this with pure childlike amazement. This show is surely rewarding if you go with no expectations and a bit of faith.
There are too many wow moments in this episode for me to even get started and I really want to keep this spoiler free so everyone enjoys it the way I did. Kudos to the writing team, this one is very well written.
Tiamat: The Church of Tiamat (2006)
Just amazing experience.
If you have ever been involved or a fan even of rock/metal music scene from the nineties, you will be well aware of Tiamat and how important they have been to the scene, specially to the second wave Swedish death metal. But that's not just what Tiamat have been about. This legendary band, fronted by the very famous multi instrumentalist, painter, lyricist, vocalist and producer Johan Edlund is by far the most versatile musical group to stem out of 90s metal scene. From death metal, doom metal, psychedelic metal/rock, progressive, gothic these guys have been there and done it all. Church Of Tiamat DVD is just a glimpse of what these guys have achieved and it was jus the right thing they released at the right time.
Recorded with great quality at a live show + interview with bassist Anders Iwers and Johan Edlund himself + some brilliant artwork and more this is a gem of a release from the band and a must buy for anyone who has ever been intrigued or liked the band.
Tiamat have inspired generations of musicians and bands like Moonspell for example and we can see it here. This is a great gift to the worlds from the legends, even better if you are a fan. Go get it.
Mission Mangal (2019)
Science movie for stupid people.
This film is a huge insult to the audience. The makers seem to be confused between what direction to take and in the process just end up ruining everything. Director seems to have no idea what treatment is. Writing and research is just laughable: The so called high profile scientists are near to never seen or heard mention anything related to science but there are plentiful inspirational lines, monologues.
What more? Random songs and dances for no apparent reason; just for the sake of it.
