Quiet on Set: The Dark Side of Kids TV: Rising Stars, Rising Questions (2024)
This is what is wrong with the industry(and world) today
This episode is all based on things aired 2+ decades ago (when better television was being made).
The only thing that changed is ourselves.
Kids don't get any of the adult jokes
And if it is wrong to do them with kids, then that's something you should have a word about 3 decades ago before the first episode aired, not now
What a waste of time watching this garbage.
Low quality sensationalism, everyone wants to cry when the well runs dry, anything to get back in the spotlight.
And its not like they are ruining someones life, they are just saying how hard he was to work with 30 years later.
Mare of Easttown (2021)
Watch 5 episodes and stop
If this show had five episodes, i think 8,5 would bring it justice. That said, the last two episodes completly butchered the show. All logic flew out of the window. The old man says he is missing the gun in the morning but the gun gets back before dawn? Why doesn't he just say he noticed 2 bullets were missing and thats it, thats enough cause for alaram isn't it? Why ruin an entire show out of pure lazy writing?
It's not only that obviously, the plot-twist after plot-twist that you already see coming after the first one, because the show isn't close to ending yet.
I think the ambiance created in the first episodes was really good. The drama settling in, Zabel's death i think its raw and in your face, it goes well with the rest of the show, but the last 2 episodes just ruin it completly for any logical being. Maybe if you just had a lobotomy the day after, this show might end perfectly for you.
Had to rate it 1/10 to balance things out since half of the votes are probably drones or sand people.
Imawa no Kuni no Arisu (2020)
Average rating for an average show
This show starts good enough, intriguing, it leaves you hanging for what is to come. This is for the first two episodes, after that you can see clearly it lacks depth, characters are weak, they are not likeable. The series was based on a manga and there are moments where it feels like you're watching some kind of budget anime with real people. Flashbacks to some characters lives that bring nothing new to the table there is absolutely no reason for them to be shown. Special effects lack quality at times, and the show gets dull and you feel like there is nothing they can do anymore to save it at some point. It ends aiming at a second season but I feel like I had enough with this one.
Good Girls (2018)
I want to watch this show with whoever rates this show a 10
The first season seemed decent, but it lacks commitment. You have no love for the characters, every scene is as boring as watching a soup opera and everything that happens feels forced or far fetched.
The second season is a disgrace. Why is anyone watching still at that point is my question since nothing new is presented to the viewer except plot holes. The final could've been written for a comedy film mocking this sort of tv shows.
Even during 2nd season i was already watching it just to see how worse it could get, but it even failed at doing so, forcing me to quit after the third episode
Show doesn't really deserve a 1/10 as no show does, but the rating it has gotten is absurd so iam here to balance things a little
The Path (2016)
Nothing to see here, move on
If you have never watched a tv show before in your life, then maybe this one might do it for you, otherwise just avoid it and move on into the next one.
This should be considered a soap opera and not a tv show, since at the end of every scene the actors just stand still looking at each other or at na empty space for three seconds. A lot of scenes are not credible, and still they usually don't lead into a surprise or twist moment, everything that happens you're already expecting or is simply forced, and in the end you will not know why did you even wasted your time watching it. The show itself is not that bad, the actors are not that bad, despite me realizing that maybe aaron paul isn't such a good actor like i thought, maybe he was just poorly directed, but it isn't good either.
