They Live (1988)

Its scary because it could be true
26 October 2004
Well, let me start out by saying that this is one of the best sci-fi flicks of the past 20 years. "Rowdy" Roddy Piper(in his super big time debut) is a distraught construction worker who finds a mysterious pair of glasses. You might ask what do these glasses do, well I will tell you and Piper what they do, they can see aliens disguised as humans, thats what they do, ohhhhh. Well piper is very scared and confused when he finds this out, so he turns to his friend kieth David(his African-American co-worker)for some assistance, but he refuses to try the glasses on, even just for style. So this is where the best part of the movie happens, Piper doesn't like that he won't try them on, so a 62 minute fight scene ensues(keep in mind the movie is only 90 minutes long). You would think this would get boring but the fight is so good, you will be in awe the whole time and if you are a woman you will have to change undies. Finally Kieth tries on the glasses after much convincing and its up to Piper and a new crew of vagabonds to stop the treacherous aliens and find out their sinister plan before its too late.

the classic battle of good vs. evil
20 October 2004
This movie shows the true dynamic of good vs. evil battle, the good guys led by Rudolph and the Jets vs. the bad guys led by David Naughton(star of Midnight Madness) and his new hip protege Harkin Banks they call themselves the rat pack. Rudi "aka Rudolph" is a mild mannered German who is the best skier in the world, he and the Jets have come to squa valley to try and win the world cup of Skiing. But Harkin the hot shot from Idaho has to come and try and screw it up, and one thing is for sure the rat pack plays dirty. Harkin is a man-whore who cares about no one, he will sleep with anything that moves and when his tornado bait girl finds out about it she turns to the true hearted Rudi to comfort her, but you can't trust white trash and she turns her back on Rudi. Then when Harkin finds out he sabotages the "jets" skis forcing them all to fall. Which only starts a fire under Rudi and his crew to see who is the true champ in the world series of skiing. Now I don't want to ruin anything but the Jets are definitely playing for Keeps.

pretty cool, but not really cool
12 October 2004
Well, this movie was good, but not great. Now don't get me wrong there is some top-notch acting between Andrew Lawery and Tracy Lind, but the plot doesn't materialize like some would think. I like the fact that he has to eat flesh, but their isn't enough blood and when he goes to second base I think it would have been better if he had eaten a nipple or something. The rest of the acting is alright, the role of the bully is definitely sub-par (I mean the guy is no, William Zabka), and the role of the best friend is average as well(he is a poor mans, Stiles). But overall the movie has some swell parts and decent laughs. Too-de-Loo

I Like to Hurt People (1985 Video)

I huff toots

anyone who doesn't like this movie must have huffed to much paint thinner, because it is awesome. Donald G. Jackson, you have done it again, yet another masterpiece for your fine directing skills. The movie rules from beginning to finish and thats all you need to know. Andre the Giants actorial debut marks one big step for Giants in the movie business, he paved the way for the likes of Gheorghe Muresean and the lady from 3rd rock from the sun.

Should the sheik be stopped or should they let his reign of terror and mayhem continue through the wrestling ranks. I don't know but some people who like to hurt people do.

The Vagrant (1992)

I really like P.C.P.
11 October 2004
well the movie doesn't start as strong as one might think with this all-star line up, but really picks up after the fantasy scene where the Vagrant is humping Bill paxton's wife, this is the turning point of the movie where you don't know who to trust and where to turn for the next exciting scene. Just remember, you never know who the vagrant really is, dood.

This movie is what blew Paxton up to be in movies like Trespass, he puts on a heartfelt performance, even though he sleeps with 400 lbs. trailer park woman, he saves face by doing it while he is handcuffed, so its not really his fault. I gave this movie 9 stars because of the riveting plot and super cast.

The Pass (1998)
This movie is better than a clean dump
15 July 2004
I loved this movie from the plot, to the cast, to the finale. James LeGross has the role of his life. He is hired to kill (cowardly) William Forsythe and would succeed if it wasn't for the pesky cops and Forsythe's elusive demeanor. The best part of the movie is when LeGross goes for his signature move the "jump punch" but it wasn't a direct hit so it didn't kill Forsythe, only injured him. I don't want to give anything away, so I will let you formulate your own opinion. But I don't think that you will be disappointed with the acting or the plot in this movie, it all seems to come together perfectly throughout the entire film without any dull moments. Just give it a chance and I guarantee you won't be let down, holla.
