Fool Me Once (2024)
So-so
As an American I appreciated the scenery and different houses, etc to get a fictional view into the country but the storyline was a bit ridiculous. I think it could have been told in 4-5 episodes.
It had a lot of extraneous dramatic moments that could have been cut out and still been a so-so movie.
I don't understand why the primary actress needed to constantly be so serious for every single scene. Is that her limitations or what the director wanted? It seemed over the top, even for a drama. I got a bit weary from it. She could've been more relatable/realistic if her "dramatic guard" was dropped during certain moments when being a mother.
The Last Thing He Told Me (2023)
We all Know
Once the US Marshal was on scene, it was obvious what the background was on her husband. It was dragged out too long.
I tuned in for Jennifer G. And kept watching but wonder why I keep watching. Maybe to prove an attorney, a journalist , and the main character are the 3 existing adult Americans that don't think hiding from organized crime when a US Marshal arrives.
The teenage step daughter is holding an unrealistic and unrelenting grudge. Sure teenagers can be challenging but it's a bit ridiculous for how nice the step mom Hannah is to that it makes no sense. It's taken a bit far.
I started watching it so will finish it but I don't recommend starting it.
