Why can't Hollywood be more respectful of geography? If you make a movie about the magic of Bali, film it there. If you can't, make it about the magic of Queensland. By moving movies elsewhere, they don't capture the essence of the place and thus become universal rubbish, which is what this movie ended up being. It could have been meaningful in so many ways, even with that plotline that can be told in one sentence. Half the cast are clearly not from the country they claim to be. It's not that different from the 1960s' white actors playing characters of colour. Why do A-listers give their name, their talent to such an meaningless movie? They deserve better, we as audience deserve better.
