Wakefield (2016)
A total waste of time
A total waste of time. They obviously didn't know how to resolve and end this story so they decided to cut the end. The moment everybody who watches this mess of a bore for 2 hours with endless boring monologues and never ending cast away scenes by an underwhelming performance. Tiring, boring... you can sum up this movie by the following word: nothing. This was nothing. Empty. The only people who would be attracted to this kind of stuff would be people with an avoidant attachment style who day dream about leaving their families. How this movie got 6 on IMDb is beyond my understanding. It should have 0 stars, the writer and director shouldn't be allowed to do ever any movie again. It is a total waste of money.
El hoyo (2019)
A total waste of time
The movie started out really good. It had suspense and I was immediately catched.
Nevertheless, as the story continued, it became more and more absurd and ridicolous. I was bursting out in laughter more and more. I couldnt take the movie seriously. It had so many stupid moments, stupid scenes and dumb dialogue.
The ending is as the movie itself - horrible and unstatisfying.
Please dont waste your time. This movie Only has a good start - and nothing else to offer. Its not even entertaining.
Don't F**k with Cats: Hunting an Internet Killer (2019)
Got your answer to the 3rd HAND
First of all, a lot of people are asking about the third hand. I researched and found this from John Green:
Who are the 2nd set of hands in the python video?
Answer: A researcher for the CBC who worked on the Fifth Estate episode on Luka went to Montreal and talked to some of Lukas neighbors, and a female said it was her in the python video and she did not know a kitten was going to be killed.
You can find this yourself with a quick google search.
Aside from that, this documentary is thrilling, disturbing and very well told.
8 stars because I HATED to hear and see a bit from the cat videos. I dont need to hear or see even a little bit of it. A description would have been enough.
And the last minute, where we are personally approached by the filmmakers to find out if we are not also partly responsible because we watched this documentary (and therefore giving Luka the attention he wanted).
I understand what he was trying to say, but it was misplaced and meaningless in the context of the subject. It simply had no place in this film, and of course every person who publishes such videos gets attention. How else should we as a society react? Ignore it?
Of course you can't develop a fascination for it. But it is important to talk about such cases.
It's always the same: It's the very people who appear harmless, that can do things that are beyond imagination.
Never judge a book by its cover.
Terminator: Dark Fate (2019)
PLEASE MAKE IT STOP!!!
Another horrible sequel. It had no heart, no atmosphere, underwritten characters and no John Connor.
Hollywood... stop giving us this crap. If you can not make it awesome, then leave it alone.
There are only T1 and T2 ... the rest is crappy fan fiction.
And why Arnold or Linda agreed to this, I don´t know. It´s just another slap in the face of the fans. They completely destroyed the franchise and lost trust.
There is no going back from this.
Once Upon a Time in... Hollywood (2019)
Django shouldve been his last film
I understand the love for old Hollywood and the nostalgia part. I understand the love for the classical movies, which he does a great job honoring them here.
STILL... there was no story. No goals for the characters. No meaning. Not his best dialogue and choices to tell a "story". This movie looked like if someone tries to copy Tarantino, not a movie by Tarantino himself.
It was really really boring.
Its not a film for the audience, its a film for filmmakers.
Dunkirk (2017)
Its official. Movies are no longer about telling a story.
While I found this movie visually great, it really has no story. It is a typical survival-story seen a thousand times before. No story + no interesting characters = boring. And only the visual is not enough (for me). People who are rating this movie with 10 stars, are either been dumbed down by studios in the last 20 yrs ... or the reviews have been bought by the studios for marketing reasons.
It seems to me like Nolan wants to be a 'serious' film director now, and wants to get noticed by the academy. The superficial heroism of military and war by all these movies are really annoying and stupid. Seemed like Nolan got inspired by Mel Gibson, here.
Good for Tom Hardy tough. I also would like to get a few million Dollars for watching left and right.
Im disappointed on so many levels.
