People of Earth (2016)
Smart, unexpected, funny, unique, brilliant
And because of this, it was canceled and that is sooooooo unfortunate!!
Outside the Bubble: On the Road with Alexandra Pelosi (2018)
Sick
This doc made me sick. The director leverages her mother's position and screams at those she interviews. Super one sided. I am not a trumpian amd ca,e with a thirst for knowledge and was si ply put off. Gross.
Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23 (2012)
Nothing close since
The show, the actors, the comedy, and the premise are too good for the everyday viewer. Having jvb written in as himself is amazing and makes you not like him as much in any other role. I have watched each episode at least 3 times and still catch new joke or jab each time. Why do tv execs kill the BEST shows in 2 or 3 seasons. If I win the lottery, I'm commissioning a total reboot. Show me anything else that even touches this classic but gold standard sitcom....please!
Little Fires Everywhere (2020)
Captivating
Unfortunately I did not read the book first. This show however hooked me from the first episode and being home due to covid19, I watched all 8 episodes in a day. The acting and casting were spot on. The story line was complicated and messy as is real life, meaning the honesty about subconscious judgement around race, socioeconomic status and class, along with family matters not only entertained, I learned something. This show was not afraid to be real about our biases and how life doesn't play out the way it often is portrayed in the movies. I highly recommend this show for all of these reasons. The author of this book and the women creators of this show all deserve a huge applause.
A.P. Bio (2018)
Love it
All of the acting is spot on and the writers are as good as it gets. Same for the direction. But once you notice that the entire background in every seen is turquoise, it can't be unseen. What is this distraction technique?!

Letterkenny (2016)
What a gem
This show's dialogue doesn't waste a syllable. I watch it on Hulu, captains on, and often freeze the fram to savor every morsel. Without warning each actor wins you over and makes you want more. I see from IMDb that there's a 5th season coming but only two are up on Hulu for us non crave tv American viewers. For a bigger fix, check out their YouTube series. This format is the way all television should learn from and aspire to be, boy howdy, I pert near fell off the chair after episode 1, don't miss it. For me this ones a hard yes.
A Little Help with Carol Burnett (2018)
This generations in trouble
Love love carol Burnett but I think these kids pompous behavior and lack of innocence that used to make these types of kid formats endearing, has been over played. Unlike past generations, these kids are more than used to being on camera, it's normal for them, in fact they will never really know privacy. Wrong premise in these modern times is the real problem here. They come off rude, showy and a little disrespectful and will make someday grow up and make millennial's look like the greatest generation in comparison. Any candid camera kid show format going forward needs a big new premise to work. In fact they should be interviewing older people.
Claws (2017)
Jenji Cohen-esque
This little series is entertaining and is something along the lines of weeds without showtime money. What it remarkable is the acting. It trumps the script flaws and impressed me every time. Give this freshman another year and a little more bench strength around writing and editing, and more than a cult following will ensue. Watched it all this rainy day weekend and am ready for season 2. Loved it.
