The Life Zone (2011)
waste of time! warning pro life propaganda film!!!!!
i started out watching this on netflix because it was in the horror section, right from the start i had a feeling this was a pro life propaganda film by the tone they used.once i did a search on the filmed i realized i was all too right.this was a waste of my time! these jerks tired real hard to trick gore/horror fans into seeing this junk! please be warned! i hated it! in the end the woman figure out the whole time they are in "purgatory" because they died during there abortions.one woman is sentenced to eternity of hell which consist of reliving abortion and birth!what i did sit through was complete and utter bullcrap, right from the beginning i could tell what was going on,its like they didn't even try.unless your a complete crazy you will find this film wrong in so many way.if i could i would rate this a zero!
The Dying Rooms (1995)
One of the most disturbing films iv seen
This documentary shook me to the core. The crew goes from one orphanage to another in china to investigate these so called "dying rooms" were the orphanage workers leave baby girls to die. This footage is all to real and painful, the condition these baby girls were in is just sick....this is all due to the 1 child law,no one wants the baby girls so they are just being killed off.i never knew it went this far.this doc had changed my view a lot and i would recommend it to anyone that can handle watching it.the footage is very hard to watch and at times will make you cry or want to run away.over all a hard movie to watch but should be seen.
The Bridge (2006)
Emotional,painfully real
This was a very heartbreaking but interesting documentary. If you cannot handle death this movie is not for you,i can understand how some people would find it too much to watch.I give credit to the film maker for bringing this issue to light,i had no idea as the same as most people. The film follow the story's of every person they film jumping which i appreciated a lot. They interview everyone family or friends which gives you background on why these people did this.its sad and interesting why people are drawn to this bridge to die. There is a interview from a kid that survived the jump, that was a good one.My jaw was dropped during most of the film,i appreciated it but like i said its not for everyone.
Jisatsu sâkuru (2001)
Good and bad for me
I enjoyed this movie for the most part, gore and all.well done mostly.Although i did not like the true and real animal cruelty/torture in the film and for that reason i just cannot watch that part again,it haunted me once i found out if was not fake...hard to deal with.i am fine with fake gore with humans but not real cruelty with animals but thats just me,many people that see this film would not even bat an eye at it but i did and i had nightmares. This film follows detectives trying to figure out why so many teenagers are committing suicide,it had plenty of blood, guts and gore which is always fun.Not the best Asian gore film iv seen but it was worth watching.
The Poughkeepsie Tapes (2007)
Creepy concept
This movie was interesting because of the way it was made,it is from a murderers pov with first person camera.the victims are very realistic and the attack scenes are creepy.I liked how they cut form the cam footage to interviews with detectives and give more details about what happens, they make it creepy. The woman in the end of the film was very convincing and left me in awe,she was so very traumatized by this evil person after being captured and tortured, she thinks he loves her......and is completely mentally unstable...that one of the most creepy parts of the film.I did not like how much the killer talked while taunting but thats a small complaint.this was a OK film, not the best iv seen but got the job done of being kind scary.the pov of the killer was the best part.
Bodyshock: The Man Who Ate His Lover (2004)
Great film,weird and creepy
i like this documentary.I never knew there was a underground group of cannibals. The film was interested and caught my attention right away. They do a great job of giving the back story on the two men.One man wants to be eaten, and another wants to eat someone, they meat up and do this deed.apparently the man filmed the the whole thing but thankfully you don't see any of it.This was a daring subject to cover,I'm glad they did tho because it was interesting for sure. The movie shows the progression of the cannibal and how he tries to find a willing person for a while.the prosecution deals with the fact that the victim was willing and wanting to be eaten, which is an odd situation.over all a pretty good film.
The Cannibal that Walked Free (2007)
Sick and twisted film
This documentary made my jaw drop a few times, the cannibal is a very...very creepy person. He murdered a woman...ate her and now lives free in his home country.this whole thing makes me sick honestly, there is overwhelming evidence that he did this and he confessed but he considered insane and incompetent to stand trial and lives free and has been for over 20 years! I cannot believe this whole thing happened and hes a free man....doing god knows what because he is completely unsupervised. What really makes this documentary creepy is the one on one interview with the cannibal him self,he is incredibly graphic and cold when explaining his murders and that he talks about how he still wants to cannibalize.pretty good documentary if this stuff interest you.
Gau ji (2004)
Loved it! scary and horrific. One of a kind film
I thought it was great! the movie sucked me in right away, a very well done film all together.Though i know many people that would not be able to handle this movie,I love it! If you can handle sick stuff it is worth watching. It gives a great comparison on how we treat the animals we eat,i appreciated that.Id watch it again. well written, well produced. The main actresses are amazing, and grow threw out the movie. The way this movie is filmed gives a very creepy cold yet artsy feel with vibrant colors and trippy camera angles.I thought a movie on this subject would be corny or just plain horrible acting,i was proved wrong.Half way through the movie i caught my self thinking this is so well done and i cant take my eyes off the screen.
