Tenet (2020)
3rd times a charm...
I have watched this film 3 times. The first time I was completely disappointed, the second time I enjoyed it. But OH MY GOD now it all makes sense. I don't usually watch films in the cinema 3 times but I trust Christopher Nolan. Even though I was disappointed and confused the first time, I was still intrigued to why so many were calling TENET a masterpiece. This film is not designed for one viewing, I now understand that. The intense design and extremely complex structure of the film makes for a really confusing experience first time out. But when you watch again the plot is much easier to grasp and the characters motivations become clear. The sound mixing however can sound absolutely terrible depending on where you see it. The first time for me it was horrendous and added to the confusion but the 3rd screening for me was crystal clear. Overall this film on and off screen defies time in a way that I will never forget.
Only Christopher Nolan can make a film that gets better the more you watch it.
Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. (2013)
Starts off poor. but once it gets going it can't be stopped!
When I first started watching this show after the first Avengers film it was okay and I understood why it was made, but now at the end of season 2 it is one of my favourite shows along with The Walking Dead and Arrow.
The first episode that saw the transition of this show was T.R.A.C.K.S. in the first season where Skye starts to become a really interesting character and when things start to go wrong for Coulson. Then when the plot twist of Grant Ward working for hydra happened I was hooked!
Season 2 and the story of the new characters like Bobbi Morse and Mack and then the story of the inhumans has gone and brought this show some excellent episodes such as What They Become and SOS Part 1 and 2. And now on to a third season which will probably be even better.
To conclude this review I really hope that the overall rating of this show improves because it really deserves a rating of at least 8.3 after this amazing second season.
10/10
The Flash: Fast Enough (2015)
One of the best episodes I've ever seen on TV
This show has really come a long way since the pilot episode and there have been many good episodes especially in the second half of this season. Out of time was the first episode that really reached a new level and now this episode has gone and surpassed that!
There was just so much going on in this episode and it really kept you guessing on what would happen especially with what Barry was going to do with the situation that enabled him to return to the night his mother died and when Eddie sacrificed himself to defeat Eobard/Wells.
I'm gonna keep this review short and just say this show has really improved since the pilot and with the crossover episodes with Arrow it has really kept me watching and I'm so glad I did to see such a brilliant episode such as this that packed so much emotion and action along with a clever and unique storyline (not to mention the cliffhanger). This show started off a bit cheesy but now it is as good as Arrow in my opinion
Can't wait for next season 10/10
